MIDDLEWEIGHT:   1966 Schwinn Miss Teen posted by: Randy on 11/2/2005 at 2:23:02 PM
I found a bicycle that someone put out for trash. It is a Schwinn Miss Teen. The serial number is KB which is a 1966. It is white and rose. Needs a total restoration. It is missing a rear reflector (pearl drop) Is this bike worth restoring? Thanks, Randy.

Any Schwinn is worthy of restoring, especially if you're willing to do it yourself just as I am with the projects I have lined up for the winter (a '61 American, a '70 Typhoon, & a '73 Heavy Duti). The 'K' stands for the month of October, and you may be able to seek that reflector you're looking for at Memory Lane Classics (www.memorylane-classics.com), Rusty Riders (www.rustyriders.com), Maple Island Sales )www.mapleislandsales.com), eBay (www.ebay.com), or even on this site. Good luck!

Electric scooters are allowed on public transit (bus/train/plane) whereas gas-powered scooters are prohibited. Noise and air pollution of gas-powered scooters is eliminated.

AGE / VALUE:   Monark seat post size posted by: Jimbo jones on 10/29/2005 at 8:06:06 AM
Ive got a 50s Monark. Same frame as the super cruiser. I bought a 7/8 seat post but it was too big in diameter. The 13/16 was too small. Found one post in a box that fits but is too short. What size is it?

I know for certain that early to mid nineties Heavy-Duti's had them, and also had heavy duty spokes. Indestructible, too. One of my heavy spoked S-2's is pinched in 1/4" to 3/8" on one side, and still tracks straight, lol. Strong, in other words.
