Hello, I have recently acquired 3 Schwinn bicycles and a Schwinn male/female "converter" frame. I don't know what to call it other than that. THe top part of the frame can be removed. I believe all three bikes and the frame to be vintage and m looking for help on exact dating and value. Thanks...

1.195? boys Schwinn American, color maroon and white cantilever frame, tire size: 26 X 1 3/4 seems to have all original parts, seat intact some wear, chain guard still intact, decal on chain guard faded, moderate amount of rust, some minor scratching

2. 196?-7? girls Schwinn Varsity 8-? Speed, deep orange color, decals intact, minimal rust, rear-rack

3. 197? boys Schwinn Speedster, color yellow, tire size: 26 x 1 3/8, seat intact like new yellow and white color, decals intact, front and rear fenders intact, working front head and back tail lights, chain guard intact, no rust, minimal scratching, near mint condition, working gears and brakes

4. Schwinn frame boys/girls, maroon color, substantial oxidation, moderate rust, seat intact maroon and white color

You can click on to the serial # charts on this site to determine the month/year of each Schwinn; the boy/girl frame may have been called the Bantam. Good luck!

Remember this forever: All Chicago-made Schwinns are true vintage metal!

If the Speedster has a Sturmey-Archer hub, it should have a two-digit year code (maybe even a month code). Hub was probably produced a few months before the bike.
