I'm wondering what they usualy go for parted out and all together. Mine has been amateurly restored. It has hawthorne peaked fenders with some dings in them, but everything else is original. Nothing is bent and the handlebars and stem were totally rusted and light rusting on the other chrome. And whats the average cost for a professional restoration?

Can anyone help me with the differences in the 2 hubs. I am looking to buy a 36 hole rear 2 speed kick back. I know they use a diFferent brake system. Is one easier to work on,function better or more durable.

Thanks for any info

I have two 61 racers both have red automatic kickbacks. My 26inch bikes are not red but are kickbacks not marked automatic. My guess to you is its gear ratio. One is not as low as the other. None for sale. I hope this helps. The red for racers.

This info should be in these archives, and there are schematics around someplace too. I'll post the bookmarks if I turn them up. Meanwhile here is the deal according to my memory- rust never sleeps... Red band uses the stacking disk brake expander; yellow uses the internal shoes. The blue band is the one with a different ratio- it has the straight-through ratio in low gear, whereas the other two use the planetary low and 1 to 1 high. The reason is that the blue band is for 20" wheels.
