FOR SALE:   Pro Star frame posted by: Scott Bender on 10/22/2000 at 11:39:51 PM
476865089 Ebay items #. I wasn't aware Richie Haney was also selling one of his ProStars.?
But it so happens I have one for sale on Ebay right now, and it is a real Hutch ProStar frame. Its serial number is 0147202.
Note Mr. Haney and his brother have in the past confused Hutch aluminum shelled hubs with hollow chromo axles for Hutch mag shell hubs with solid titanium axles. The 10 year old kids who frequent my shop are even smart enough to know the difference on that one. , but yet the Haneys are not.
They have also been confused about selling SUPER DUPER RARE HUTCH PITBIKE PADS which looked remarkably similar to Hutch Windstyler pads. Huh go figure.
They seem to be a little disoriented over their NOS Hutch pedals that keep popping up on Ebay CUT LIKE A RAZOR LAST SET PROBABLY TO EVER BE FOR SALE EVER EVER, bur somehow they have put up three sets so far. HMMM !!
Yep these guys are the " Real Hutch Experts " no doubt about it. I can remember last year when Richie was asking around how to tell a Taiwanese Pro Raider from a USA frame.

AGE / VALUE:   RL20 Questions. posted by: PaulM. on 10/20/2000 at 8:58:52 PM
Just out of curiousity. A long time ago, maybe 1987 or 86 a cousin of mine had a beautiful RL20, that was aqua to black to chrome from forks to the rear wheel mount. I always loved the bike, he was indifferent to it. Eventually, around 89 or so he joined the marines and gave the bike to me. I rode it for about 2 years or so, and it was stolen from me. Now I dont know what year this bike was made, but it was at a time when bikes without built in framestands at the seat where a rare thing (it had none, it did however have peg screws in the forks) Now, 10 years later or so, I am wanting to try and build this bike back up. Anyone have any ideas where to look, or how much to expect to pay. I am also interested in the values/rarity of those White mongoose M1's made in the mid 80's.

The holy grail of Hutchs . The Pro Star hand picked off the factory line , for the cleanest welds , and shiniest chrome. Only the best became the ProStars. I hvae a frame only available in very good shape. ProStar decals is intact but is a little nikced up and is a little dull in a few spots. All other decals are present but not in great shape. Frame is straight and clean. Dropouts have one spot where the axlenuts have been , and are not to deep. I'm taking best offer, and I do have several pics ready to go.

BEFORE ANYONE MAKES ANY OFFERS ON THIS FRAME MAKE SURE IT HAS THE ORIGINAL STICKER (THAT ONLY CAME ON FACTORY PROSTARS)ON THE BOTTOM BRACKET IF ITS NOT THERE ITS NOT REAL!!!! YOU COULD BUY THESE STICKERS (PROSTAR STICKER KITS FROM HUTCH )BUT THE ONLY WAY ITIS A REAL FACTORY PROSTAR IS THE BOTTOM BRACKET STICKER!!!!!!!!!! WE KNOW WHERE THE REAL ONES ARE AND THE FAKE ONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BENDER!!! AND YOU WILL NOTICE THAT I DO NOT HIDE BEHIND MY NAME ILL POST IT // NOT ONLY IS THIS THE TRUTH BUT I HAVE ALL OF HUTCHES RECORDS TO PROVE IT!!!!!!EMAIL ME WITH A QUESTIONS THANKS

Be careful with this guy. Most of Bender's bikes are restored, meaning NON-ORIGINAL. I have heard that most of them resemble polished turds.

I just pulled my old hutch out of the garage. It's a 83 pro raider. How do you tell if the frame was american or tiawan built? I still have the original reciept. Do you know where I might find the original specs and part list for that bike. I upgraded the bike to all hutch parts, but can't remeber what was original/aftermarket. Any info is appreciated.

MISC:   97mph on a BMX bike posted by: matt mac on 10/16/2000 at 9:27:31 PM
BMX bikes go over 97mph. With no pedals. These Bikes are the coolest things around in the bikeing world. they have no pedals or cranks, no engines. They are powered strictly with gravity. regular BMX bikes, twenty inch wheels aerodynamic fairing, and they go faster than a streetluge. There is a web site about gravity speed bikes called www.gravitybike.com
This is the next big extreme sport. It is not for the light hearted

MISC:   raleigh rampage? posted by: Ron on 10/11/2000 at 7:15:50 PM
Anyone know anything about an old school bmx bike called either a (Raleigh) Rampage or Rampager? It has a cool motocross-style suspension fork up front, with dual coil-over type shocks in back. The saddle is hinged at the front and tilts up (from the rear) like those on old motorcycles used to do. Anyone got any info?

RE:MISC:   raleigh rampage? posted by Carl on 10/16/2000 at 8:24:33 AM
That would be a Raleigh Rampar. Cool motorcycle-styled bikes with coil spring rear shocks and a swingarm (like a motorcycle), and oil-filled front shocks. There are pictures of those in the picture database and many discussions of them in the archives.

Hey everyone,

It's been a while since I last checked the board, good to see so much action. I mentioned before that I have a large amount of old BMX stuff from my old shop (Sheely's Wheels).
I'm heading to my folks place to pick it all up this weekend with the intention of posting most of it on EBAY (sorry traders, I've got most of what I need). If you would like a list of what I have to sell and when it will post, just drop me an email and I'll put you on the list. Some of the stuff I know I have - SE standing gear fork, Profile fork (CP), CW fork (CP) Diamond Back Turbo Lite cranks with BB, tons of pads (Team and Flite), SX pedals, MKS graphite pedals, Suntour XC pedals, Hutch pedals, Numbers, plates, clothing. Look for the sale to begin sometime in November with all the rare stuff going up in Feb.
