FOR SALE:   Old School Shimano DX crank set...NOS posted by: mark on 4/4/2000 at 10:47:03 AM
Hello,
I recently found a set of NOS Shimano DX cranks, with all parts in the original Shimano box. The set is blue, and it is NOS. The crank arms do have slight shelf wear. All else is perfect (bottom bracket parts, chain wheel, hardware). If interested, e-mail me. I honestly have no idea what they are worth, if anything. I do know that I don't not need them for any project currently. Thanks.

WANTED:   White Brake Pads posted by: Jeff on 4/1/2000 at 11:22:51 PM
Does anyone one on this discussion board know where to get Brake Pads in a Dia-Compe 990 style in White? I've looked everywhere locally (Minneapolis/St. Paul) and via the "web" and can't seem to locate any in White... I believe Dia-Compe makes some in White, "Dan's Competition" even shows a picture of the White ones but when I called to order some, they didn't have any in stock and didn't know when they would be getting some more in.
If anyone could help or lead me in the right direction to finding some I would greatly appreciate it!
Jeff

FOR SALE:   TRICKSTAR DOWNTUBE STICKER posted by: Danny on 3/31/2000 at 10:17:50 AM
I have a trickstar downtube sticker in Chrome (foil), black with white highlights-
Here's the story-
I have an original set that I paid a lot of money for, then I had the downtube sticker
reproduced to exact specifications. This sticker is exact to every detail. It is impossible to
tell the original from the new sticker. Unfortunately having these professionally done cost a lot.
I have 2 stickers available at $40.00 each. If interested email me at
daringelstei@VASSAR.EDU
Thanks,
Danny

Hello,
I wondered if someone out there has a set of NOS HUtch Pro pedals they would be interested in trading for ALL of the following: 1 set of NOS Hutch Trickstar bars in chrome (U.S. made, NOT Mike Dominguez labled), 1 medium sized Hutch Factory Trick Team jersey (NOS), 1 NOS Hutch Pro or Expert chrome sticker set for f/f, also one silver Woody Itson signature free coaster hub (heavy rear hub perfect for Trickstar), sticker is lifting a little bit. I was looking for silver pedals, but I will not be picky. It is worth a shot. Thanks in advance! E-mail me if interested.

I don't feel sorry for that toolbox who tried to sell the Motobike on ebay. If you scroll down this page, you can see that he listed it under the name 'Barry'. That is not honest.

Ah, now you know what they call me. Yeah ,people do call me by Stephen or Barry.People usually do
get more than one name when they are born. I'm used to using my name, so whatever name I inherited when
I was born,I think I should be able to use it freely in whatever manner I decide.
In all honesty,(sniff sniff) I smell a bit of jealousy.
Who wants to see it on ebay again --any hands?

Jealousy...Thats a good one. The nice Yamaha Motobike was the one that sold at the same time for over $500. If your Motobike was so nice, why didn't it meet reserve?

RE:RE:RE:THIS JUST IN:  Motobike on ebay doesn't meet reserve... posted by Jon on 3/29/2000 at 3:33:46 PM
Steve, Barry, nice use of names. I just go by my first one usually. You sound like a really intelligent guy (joking), and I can't figure out why you need to create hype about your Motobike on this page. Why would anyone here be jealous? Peddle your junk elsewhere.

The round shaped piece which the freewheel screws onto. Email me at wheelieride@aol.com Keep poppin' wheelies! I'm 41!

BEER DRINKIN' AND WHEELIE POPPIN' posted by Terry C. on 3/21/2000 at 5:36:25 PM
I am 48 years old and have settled pretty well into a freestyle way of life, but still felt that something wasn't quite right.

About three years ago, I climbed up into my attic and pulled out my 1986 Team Murray. I spent the better part of two months rubbing all of the paint off of it. Now it looks like a new bike!

This bike has a 1985 frame and 1986 fork, both in white. Toby Henderson came over and we polished off a case of beer together, then decided to ride. We raised hell and popped wheelies up and down the block, until the neighbors called the police. Oh well, win some lose some.

This bike was my whole life for so long, I can't believe I neglected it for nearly 15 years. After a few weeks of riding I found that I could pull off most of my old tricks, dy-no-mite tailwhips, backwards boomerangs, no seat rockwalks, and several other old parlor tricks. When was the last time you saw someone do a 'Sacramento butt slam'?
I have a few friends that are riding with me now as well. You may have heard of Greg Hill and Pistol Pete. I have somehow convinced them that we need to build a scaled down concrete version of Del Mar in the back yard behind my trailer. We should have the original bmx/skate park model built by this summer. Man, just like the old days. And you often wondered where all the old school greats went to. They hang out with me!

MISC:   For trade: NOS mint Haro Team Sport posted by: Mark on 3/19/2000 at 2:04:28 PM
One more item for trade only:

1 mint NOS, never ridden Haro Team Sport model (1987 I think). It is chrome, turquoise and black. It has ALL original components including: Haro Group 1 tubular chromoly 3 piece cranks, Peregrine HP-48 wheels, Dia-Compe Nippon brakes, folding front standing platforms. The original Haro paper work is still tied around the handle bars. A very sharp looking bike. I tried to sell this before, but I am tired of dealing with idiots who I send actual pictures to, only to get no response. A big waste of time! If you know this bike, it was one of (if not the) most expensive complete freestyle bikes back. I believe the Haro Master team model was the same price. I would be interested in trading up or down toward NOS Hutch frame set(s) or Hutch parts (U.S. made - no Pro Raider, Taiwan made Trickstar, or Windstlyer). If interested, please e-mail me. This is an awesome bike, but I am not a Haro fan. Thanks!

I do not think that the Skyway decals are worth much anymore since Skyway is going to reproduce them real soon.

RE:RE:MISC:   NOS Skyway T/A pad set, and NOS sticker set posted by Mark on 3/19/2000 at 4:57:59 PM
Possibly,

however, if you settle for repro stuff, that says a lot about your bikes. I prefer the real thing. Just my opinion.

mark

RE: Skyway "fake" decals posted by info on 3/19/2000 at 5:24:07 PM
They would be the real thing and for your info a lot of the T/A decals circulating around the old school scene were found at a Canadian decal company that made repros years ago when the T/A was still in production. You might still be able to buy them from them. Actually when you also consider that they are going to be build T/A Frame and forks again with the tubing and tooling they still possess it is not reproduction but just a continuance of a production run. They have had so much interest and inquiries about the T/A that they are going to build a run of them. contact Bart Weems at sales@skywaywheels.com He will confirm that. So you might just yet get your T/A.

RE:RE: Skyway posted by info on 3/19/2000 at 5:28:46 PM
One other thing,Do you know the difference between the repo decals and the "real" decals as they were very close in appearance. I have had both sets and the bags they came sealed in were similar with no retail hangtags or other identifying tags to tell them apart.

RE:RE: Skyway posted by mark on 3/19/2000 at 6:11:11 PM
To be quite honest, it is not my concern that Skyway builds any stuff from old tooling. I posted these items to trade, and I never said once that any of the stuff was worth anything. I know from experience that these pads and stickers don't show up a lot. I have found more Hutch stickers and Hutch pad sets than any Skyway stickers and pads. Your info is great, but I am no longer interested in Skyway stuff. Just out of curiousity, why not use your real e-mail address or name? I thought this was a site for legitimate people to trade info. No offense, but it is nice to deal with people on a first name basis.
