MISC:   ACS Z Wheels posted by: brent on 7/10/2000 at 6:26:27 AM
I picked up a Schwinn Predator "Black Shadow" this weekend. The problem is that it looks like it has been sitting outside for a few years. Just about everything that wasn't plated or aluminum is rusted badly. I figure I can replace most of the bolts. Is there anything I can do to clean up the rims? Was the nylon dyed or painted on these originally?

AGE / VALUE:   Is it worth anything? posted by: Dave on 7/7/2000 at 11:50:28 PM
I purchased an old BMX Scorpion bicycle at a garage sale a long time ago. BMX Scorpion is all it says on it. I would guess it to be around 20-30 years old. It's a bit tattered, but all there. Is it worth anything? Is is worth fixing up?

MISC:   I have no IDEA?? posted by: Shirley on 6/29/2000 at 3:14:47 PM
My husband bought a bike today at an auction, it had a sign on it saying it was the first BMX bike. Has anyone ever seen wheels like this: center hub, spokes, wheel, heavy duty springs then another wheel, then rubber tires? any idea where I can find out about this strange bike?

RE:MISC:   I have no IDEA?? posted by Don on 7/14/2000 at 11:08:13 AM
I'm not sure i understand you right, but it does sound like an old school bmx i had when i was a kid. my uncle kicked it down to me, it was from around the mid 70's i think. it had front suspension(springs on the fork) and i thought that was really odd. i don't know what you mean about your bike though, could you write more detail? sounds like they tryed to put suspension in the wheel itself...sillies...
