MISC:looking for pictures posted by: Jason on 6/1/2001 at 10:35:08 AM
Hey I have a picture gallery going at my website for Hutch bikes. I think I have found just about all I'm going to find on my own. So does anyone out there have some old copies of BMX Action, BMX Plus, Go, or Freestylin' that they could scan old Hutch pictures out of and e-mail them to me? Could be frames, ads or people riding them or whatever. Thanks.

FOR SALE:Hutch Trick Styler frameset for sale posted by: Jason on 6/1/2001 at 8:34:57 AM
I have my old Trick Styler frameset for sale on ebay if anyone is interested. I'd like to restore it but I can't afford to do something like that. There are pictures and a description of the condition it's in. This is the bike they made with twin top tubes and 24K gold stickers. It's not in perfect condition but it is a rare frame.

AGE / VALUE:Old School BMX - "Z" shaped/lightning bolt frame posted by: Matt on 5/31/2001 at 12:52:16 PM
I have a friend who has this old school bmx bike with the "z" shaped (lightning bolt) frame bar. He's been told that it is worth a considerable amount of money. This one is all chrome an in very nice condition. What is it and what is it worth?

   RE:AGE / VALUE:Old School BMX - posted by Jason on 5/31/2001 at 5:44:21 PM
I'm pretty sure that's the CW Phaze one and they are pretty rare. Don't know a ballpark figure of what it's worth but I'm sure there's a collector out there who would like to have it.

   RE:AGE / VALUE:Old School BMX - posted by Chas on 11/2/2001 at 8:39:43 PM
I had one of these back in about 1984 which I broke, when I sent it back for warranty they told me that it was the second one they ever made (serial# CZ02) and would sell me one at a pro-rated price, which I declined. Too bad, seeing the current interest in old school BMX parts.

MISC:Torker 3 piece cranks posted by: Jason on 5/31/2001 at 6:36:09 AM
Anyone here used the newer Torker 3 piece cranks? If so how's the quality? They look alot like the old Peregrine 3 piece cranks which were absolute garbage in my opinion. I had a pair and they were terrible. I'm back to a one piece GT crank again and once again I have bent the damn thing. I'd like to go back to a 3 piece some day (a good one) so are the Torkers any good?

RE:MISC:Torker 3 piece cranks posted by mike on 5/31/2001 at 10:01:16 PM
i`ve gone through two pair of those newer torker 3-pc cranks and in my opinion, they are absolute crap!!!

RE:MISC:Torker 3 piece cranks posted by Jason on 6/1/2001 at 10:34:35 AM
Thanks for the info. I was wary of them. Anybody, what's a good set of 3 piece cranks that won't bankrupt me?

RE:RE:MISC:Torker 3 piece cranks posted by Mike on 6/6/2001 at 9:48:57 AM
I have been running the poverty 2 pc. cranks, they are tough, cheap and are decent. I am not little, a little bigger than Robbie Morales (not Bob Morales). I know that they aren't Flights, but for 25 bucks they wont' kill you. That, and think smooth when you ride!
Tip no. 2- save for a set of Profiles.

RE:MISC:Torker 3 piece cranks posted by josh on 1/4/2002 at 6:38:29 PM
torkers arent really good for hardcore use but they do work for the easy rider!!!!!!
i recently got the new snafu 4130 3-piece and it is the best three piece i have ever owned!
