AGE / VALUE:   Just bought an old Dyno Compe posted by: JJ on 9/5/2002 at 12:13:15 AM
I recently bought an old Dyno Compe. I want to find a serial number database so I can find out what year it's from. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

RE:AGE / VALUE:   Just bought an old Dyno Compe posted by Jeff on 9/13/2002 at 2:26:47 AM
Got a picture or a better description? The Compe was introduced around 1986. I worked for a GT dealer since 1990 and may be able to get you close on the year of your bike.

AGE / VALUE:   hutch cranks posted by: steve on 9/3/2002 at 4:14:39 PM
Anyone out there know how much a set of hutch 3-piece cranks are going for these days? I just recently got online access and haven't seen any on e-bay or anywhere. I have a set (that I'm keeping) and they have some rust specs-mostly on the back sides, and am wondering if I should get them rechromed, or just leave them as is? Thanks in advance.

MISC:   Haro Sport Frame ID? posted by: Michael on 9/2/2002 at 4:18:42 AM
Hi All,

Seems like the late 80's Invert and FST frames appear similar to the early Sport. The FST looks like the '85 Sport, as the rear triangle isn't chrome and there aren't U-brake mounts. The Invert looks like the '84 Sport, as it looks like an FST with no framestanders on the rear dropouts.

If I'm looking at a "Sport" that's been repainted, how can I tell that it's the real deal, not just an Invert or an FST?

Thx!
M

AGE / VALUE:   Info for old school Mongoose? posted by: Mister Scary on 8/31/2002 at 2:13:25 AM
Can anyone PLEASE tell me where I can find a listing of all the old school Mongoose serial numbers and what dates they relate to? I would also like to know when they started and stopped making the model with the welded plates with the holes(like a '79) Those are the only years I am interested in. I would like to compile as much information as I can find on those model years. I would like to put that info online to be available to others who want to know.

Any info you can give me would be great and I'll give you credit when it goes online. Thanks.

Well, it was sent out, the original and I have every reason to believe that Mr. Scarry will post it for interested Mongoose bike fans to enjoy. That's great as this is a nice, fairly early Mongoose catalog.

Mongoose fans should keep an eye out for it sometime in the near future. The dude is building the site now! If I should run across any more B.M.X. stuff I'll leave another post and or/ contact Mr. Scarry again!
