AGE / VALUE:   Very Early GT Pro Performer posted by: Jesse H. on 7/4/2003 at 12:14:12 AM
Hello all. I just retrieved my old GT Pro Peformer from storage. I believe it is from 82 or 83, but am not sure. I cannot find any serial numbers on it. Where are they located? Also where are the numbers on a 86-87 Hutch Trick Star? Thanks for all of your help!

RE:AGE / VALUE:   Very Early GT Pro Performer posted by Marshall on 7/6/2003 at 3:33:50 AM
Hey Jesse.
The serial number on my 83 GT Pro Nora Cup is on the inside of the back right drop out. Your back hub may be blocking your view. It will either be a seven or eight digit number with the second and third numbers (on the 7) or third and fourth (on the 8) being the year it was made. Hope that helps. Marshall.

I just bought a nice GT bike a yard sale today called a GT performer its an 80's bmx bike id like to know what year it was made and if possible how much its worth in fair condition

RE:AGE / VALUE:   identification posted by Marshall on 7/6/2003 at 3:36:16 AM
Uriah. Check the serial number. If it's 7 digits, the second and third number will be the year it was made. It it's 8 digits, the third and fourth will be the year. Good luck. Marshall.

Has anyone seen the Hutch BMX celebrity model 'All-Star' retro bike built by Jesse Dominguez (Jesse D.) and Hutchheaven???? I guess 1 just sold on EBAY for $2532. Jesse D. did the graphics and Hutchheaven did the welding. Basically a black Hutch windstyler with hutch aerospeed cranks (new style). No details known, but the 2 builders have pics for quite a few more. Super=cool bike for sure!!!!!!

RE:MISC:   jesse dominguez and hutchheaven all star bike HUTCH posted by Jim on 7/3/2003 at 4:23:36 PM
Hey where is my share of that?Pretty funny!LOL!The frame was titanium and the cranks were made of Miller lite cans so they would be as strong as the original AEROSPEEDS!!!!I welded the frame with a torch and CREST gel!!!!

Hi, I have been searching all around seeking information about my old haro bike, and I haven't been able to find anything. Maybe you can help me out by telling me (using the picture and serial #) what model and approximately what year this bike is? If you can, thankyou, if not maybe point me in the right direction? The serial is : H8801457, and if you email me I can send you the picture.
Either way thanks for your time

MISC:   Chain Rings posted by: Wendell on 6/21/2003 at 3:08:13 AM
Can someone explain why there are 41, 42 and 44 tooth chain rings and why you might want one over the other? I have a lot to learn but am looking to restore an 82 GT I recently purchased.
Thanks,
Wendell

RE:MISC:   Chain Rings posted by Dallas on 6/21/2003 at 4:28:04 AM
Lower amount of teeth, the faster you can sprint.

RE:MISC:   Chain Rings posted by Jim on 6/22/2003 at 2:26:14 AM
More teeth higher top speeds!!!

RE:MISC:   Chain Rings posted by Wendell on 6/24/2003 at 2:44:53 AM
Thanks! Does the number of teeth change the lenght of chain you need for the bike?

RE:RE:MISC:   Chain Rings posted by a on 6/24/2003 at 5:00:42 AM
It could.
