MISC:   Old Schwinn BMX memories posted by: T Escobedo on 9/17/2003 at 4:35:27 AM
Anyone remember the Schwinn Scrambler competition model? I found mine from way back. At one time it had some weird (and rather lightweight) magnesium mag wheels, 7 1/2" Ashtabula cranks and stem, and the standard forged bladed fork. The "Competition model" had a non-gusseted cro-mo frame, and after getting it running again, I never realized what weird geometry it had. Thing was born to ride wheelies. These days it has some nondescript tube forks, alloy stem/handlebars, and ACS Z rims. My son has his eye on it already.

Ahh, those were the days.
