AGE / VALUE:   DG or Laguna Alum Frame??? posted by: Patrick Snider on 9/29/2004 at 7:42:35 AM
Way back in the day about 85 I traded a compound bow for a
DG frame and fork. I think anway it's a DG, I was always told the frame and fork were called Luguna. The frame is aluminum and the forks are heavy, way heavy. Does anyone know the name and model of the frame. If it will help I can post a picture. Thinking about racing again after 18 years. 86 was the last time..
peace

DG and Laguna were two different companies. The only aluminum Laguna frame was the GTA. Looked alot like a Race Inc. with minor differences. The forks, if Laguna, would have a 'J' or hook-shaped cutout in the dropout. Send me pics and I can help you id your frame.

Hi all,
Does anyone remember the "Lester" style bike rims? Mine came on Montgomery Ward "Open Road" bike. Mine are not the plastic spoke version but they are cast aluminum. Are these common? What is their value? Thanks in advance. I can get a photo next time I visit my father.

Have you still got any old school bmx stuff for sale. I'm after either 'bits' or a complete bike(s)

I live in the UK, hope that's not an issue :)

Look forward to hearing from you.

Woody Itson is probably the best-known Hutch rider, at least for Freestyle, back in the 80's. Actually one of the best known from ANY team. Last I saw (less than 2 years ago) he works for Giant bicycles, putting together and directing their trick team shows. Don't know the best way to get ahold of him, but contact Giant and ask about the freestyle demo shows, and you'll get sent to him I'm sure.

For what its worth and someone can chime in here to correct me if im wrong but i think that there was only a difference between them when Hutch moved production to Tiawan.
Tiawan Serial # i believe is under the cranks and the American production is on the rear drop off near the loop.i know this really doesnt answer your question but someone may know the answer by the Serial# location. best of luck. Regards: Chuck
