Picked up a Kawasaki Z1 BMX bicycle. Chrome with green stickers. I'm trying to date this bike and determine if its a department store model or a serious BMXer. It looks like a pretty good bike, but I'm no expert on BMX. I checked Vintage BMX and they had no pics of it in their gallery. The only Kawasaki they mentioned was a late seventies rig with a bread loaf seat. This has what appears very conventional early to mid 80s geometry and tubing. Can anyone recall anything about this brand and model?

Would anyone be so kind as to help by providing information on a Pro-Thunder "Competition Certified" California Design BMX bike with a serial number of HC4637616? I've been told this is a Huffy. I look to restore the bike as everything appears correct but remain unsure without proof. This one was in storage a long time before I acquired it and is a nice looking chrome frame with a patriotic red white and blue theme. Your reply would be much appreciated as I otherwise don't know where to pursue the answers. Regards, Aiden
