Intersting stuff. From India.... and if I could get a better look at the emblem on that rear fender... but methinks it's actually an "Abley".

I have one of the Abley 28" single speed Roadsters in the garage... Never got around to completely assembling it as it's... well... It's not the greatest.

But I like the idea of the Saddles, bells... parts in general.

Thanks for the link! It's been bookmarked

Later!

I want to run away and work there. Put me in a box, a bit of food, poke holes in the box so I can breathe and take me to Fedex.

Don't ship me surface! It has to be by air freight. I promise to send you back boxes of parts and a portion of my meger salary.

I'll take an Indian bride, have little Indian babies and be very happy.

ENGLISH ROADSTERS:   Help needed posted by: john on 7/14/2007 at 10:48:36 AM
I live in Royal Oak, Michigan. I need some work done on some vintage English 3-speeds. Is there anyone in the Detroit area who is willing to work on my bikes for/with me? I could take them to a shop but I want to learn how to do the work myself. So, I'm willing to pay someone to teach me how to do the work. For example, I'd like to learn how to lubricate bearings. Also, I bought some chaincases from Paul Stiyosh's store in the UK (Cycles of Yesteryear) and I need help to figure out how to install them on my bikes. Thanks.

When you think of movies with English bicycles in it---I bet the actors John Wayne & Maureen O'Hara don't pop in your mind.
But yes, there they are ridding a tandem in the movie"The Quite Man"(on sale at wally world)
