Can anyone recomend a decent book on custom painting bikes? Or maybe give me some tips?

RE:MISC:   cust paint posted by Eddy O. on 10/9/2000 at 12:53:39 PM
There was a great message on painting written by someone in the archives about 2 years ago. I just searched for it and couldn't find it. Does anyone remember that? Can anyone (perhaps the original author) find it in the archives??

RE:RE:MISC:   cust paint posted by Oscar on 10/9/2000 at 1:49:56 PM
The great post that Eddie remembers is from December 1997. Credit where credit's due: It was written by a cool hombre named johnB. I've saved it to a Word document for easy reading. Fernando, I'll e-mail it to you (and anyone else who is interested.)

December 1997 was before my time (on the web, that is). I tried looking in oldroads archives and I couldn't find it either.

Oscar, I can't get email here at work and don't have a machine at home, can you cut and paste it here?

RE:RE:RE:RE:MISC:   cust paint posted by Oscar on 10/11/2000 at 8:52:49 AM
I reposted the item on the Restoration page of this site. Enjoy!!

Yeah, that was a good piece. John really knows what he's talking
about. I've been reworking the BikeRod&Kustom gallery, and
was just looking at his Peerless Kustom today. Very nice paint.

Thanks for reposting it Oscar!

Little help please. Found old very rusty womans bike. Big tires, very wide fenders. Front fender curves under. Metal badge on front has beaded pattern on it - says - Rollfast - DP Harris MFG Co. Anyone have a clue what this is? It's in a very bad way, but I may restore.
