No bicycle ever made could be as simple, or straightforward as the Schwinn Skipper. It is an adult-sized bike with 26” tires. It usually is a coaster-brake model with a single speed.

There’s nothing fancy about it, and that’s its beauty. And just because it has no frills, there’s nothing to distract you from its classic looks. Upright, swept-back handlebars – a classic. Gently curved camelback top tube – gotta have it. One-piece crank – never breaks. Fenders – who makes bikes with fenders any more? It has purebred Schwinn good looks. I hope you enjoy your very useful bike.

WANTED:    1970 Hercules Rear Fender posted by: Tina on 9/30/2000 at 3:15:02 PM
OK, here's the deal. I went to the dump and they have a "second hand store". I picked up a 1970 girls, 3 speed Hercules for $3. It is dirty, but just needs to be cleaned and polished. The only bad thing is that it is missing the rear chrome fender. If anyone happens to have an extra one lying around, I would appreciate letting me know. Thanks.

WANTED:   Tires for Sears Spyder posted by: Kevin on 9/30/2000 at 11:33:47 AM
I have a Sears, as I have always known it, Spyder bike from '69-70. I need new tires for it. The front wheel isn't to hard to find but I'm having trouble finding a new one for the rear. On the side wall it says "Paragon Slick, 2.125". I have checked with the local stores and the only thing they can come up with is a Schwinn Crate wheel. Which wouldn't be bad except that it says Schwinn Crate on it. If anyone can help me please drop me a e-mail. Thanks

Your bike is a 1959 Schwinn "Debutante" made only that one year. the Debutante only came in two colors which were rose & white and Powder blue & white.

I really cannot give you a value without looking at the bike. The value of your bike is probably between $100 to $200.

Thanks,
Juan
