Just purchased a ? 14" Lil Miss Schwinn Bicycle. Tires are 14 x 1.75. I cannot find any info on this bike at all. If anyone has any info for me I would greatly appreciate it. The serial # is 8B70511. A date would also be appreciated!!
Donna

RE:MISC:   Schwinn Lil Miss posted by racerrex on 10/22/2000 at 4:31:46 AM
From your serial # it looks to be made after '80. If you look closely at the headbadge on the front that says Schwinn you should find a four digit number stamped. The first three #'s indicate the corresponding day of the year, as an example 001 would be Jan. 1; the last single digit is the last # of the year. There isn't a break down to tell if it was made in the 80's or 90's, but sales brochures will normally show that. If you still can't figure it out , repost or check the Schwinn site.

WANTED:   Mattel Bronco? posted by: Jeff on 10/20/2000 at 8:11:51 AM
Anyone know where I can get a Mattel Bronco?
They were made from about 1963 to '67 or so... Looked a little like a motorcycle, and had shocks on the back that worked... (They also made a bike called the "Stallion")
Any ideas how much they go for?
Thanx for all replies...

bought new in greece early 1970s shipped home & put in storage both in ex. con. payed like 125.new what are they worth today mens#y711-09210 just ballpark price this one if anyone can help thank you !!

RE:WANTED:   his&hers peugeot posted by Keith on 10/23/2000 at 12:59:27 PM
3-speed, 5-speed, 10-speed? It really depends on the model, which can be determined from the equipment. Low-end Peugeots from the 70s (UO-8s), with plain steel frames and steel cottered cranks are mere garage sale fodder and are about as valuable as a similar vintage Schwinn Varsity -- maybe $20-40. The PX-10s have a following -- this would have the aluminum Stronglight cranks, Mafac Competition brakes, and a frame made with Reynolds 531 tubing (look for a black sticker with green lettering). Depending on the exact features, a PX-10 is worth as much as several 100s to a dyed-in-the-wool Francophile. The price you quote (I think UO-8s were about $100 new in the early 70s), and the "hers" frame suggests a lower-end model, because I don't think the top-end Peugeot stuff was ever made with a ladies frame.
