FOR SALE:   Harley Davidson posted by: Kelly on 10/5/2000 at 5:56:13 PM
I have a Harley Davidson bicycle that I bought a long time ago. It is in good condition except for some rust. I would like to sell it. Email me and tell me what you think it might be worth.

RE:FOR SALE:   Harley Davidson posted by KingKong on 10/6/2000 at 4:59:48 AM
If it is genuine old Harley bicycle it will be no newer than the 1920's and could be worth $500 to $2500 or more.

What size are the tires? Describe the seat.

RE:FOR SALE:   Harley Davidson posted by racerrex on 10/6/2000 at 6:48:17 AM
can you please describe the bike. does it have a tank and fenders? Does it look like a mini sportster? A picture is worth a thousand words.

MISC:   Sears Folder posted by: Larry on 10/5/2000 at 6:08:22 AM
I just bought a Sears break down bike in a Gold color. it has 3 tubes going down and an integrated rear rack . It is so cool. 3 speed with the shifter under your leg. I put on new tires and seat and it rides great. I really would like to know its value.

I wasn't aware of the fact that Sears did an NFL bicycle, but I know they did some Ted Williams bicycles, some of which go for 50% more than their non-Williams-branded counterparts. Any idea what year it is?

FOR SALE:   1984 Murray Girls Baloon Tires posted by: Annette on 10/4/2000 at 12:58:34 PM
Just need some help here: Parents bought this brand new, and did not use. 1984 "Olympics" issue Murray "Monterey". Red, woman's bike, with fenders, manual brakes, truly pristine condition. Garaged and covered. Logo said: Official providers of bicycles to the 1984 Olympics. Is this just something I should put into the Recycler classified for 50 bucks or something? Have pics, try to post. Thanks Annette West Covina/Walnut (Los Angeles) area.

I don't know where you live but think you would be hard pressed to get $50.00 out of it. Most sell for $20.00 or less.

MISC:   1970's Schwinn Tandem Bike info posted by: Jeff Frank on 10/3/2000 at 1:30:59 PM
We have an early 70's Schwinn Tandem, 5 speed, drum
brake on rear, brown, full chrome fenders in good condition
[7-8 out of 10], leather seats, have been made a trade in offer
from a dealer of $125
Just wondering if $125 is in the ballpark???

We are in Louisville KY
Thanks for any help

RE:MISC:   1970's Schwinn Tandem Bike info posted by Oscar on 10/3/2000 at 1:53:41 PM
I'd say $125 is fair for everyone involved. Actually pretty good for you as most Twinns I see go for about $100.

By the way, I think Louisville is one of the nicest, prettiest, managable cities I've ever seen.

RE:MISC:   1970's Schwinn Tandem Bike info posted by racerrex on 10/4/2000 at 8:08:20 AM
$125 on a trade isn't too bad. In our area (NW ohio) tandems seem to be HOT right now and I've seen similar condition tandems go for $250.

RE:MISC:   1970's Schwinn Tandem Bike info posted by bikeyard on 10/10/2000 at 9:04:00 PM
I've seen the rear hub alone go for $50 to $75. Schwinn tandems seem to average around $200 on ebay. Although there is a 60's restored tandem that is over $500 on right now, that seems a bit high.

MISC:   COAST to Coast Miss America posted by: rick on 10/2/2000 at 10:01:33 PM
I would like any info on a 20" girls "coast to coast","Miss America" sting-ray type red, white and blue bicycle. Excellant shape. Who made it and when? Thanks, rick

RE:MISC:   COAST to Coast Miss America posted by Chris on 10/3/2000 at 1:20:19 PM
Huffy made a girl's bike with the Miss America. Does the serial number start with a one-digit number followed by a letter (and then more numbers after that)? That is the type of serial number used by Huffy. If you post the the first digit and letter, I might be able to ballpark the year.
