Actually, in the early 1960's Whizzer Company built the WASP, based on a 20 inch Schwinn frame. Even had the solo-polo seat. However, it was a last ditch effort for Whizzer and the WASP was never put into production. Maybe your wheel is from one of the prototypes??

THANKS for the reply!, But it has a one inch pitch on the gear? I'm not sure if the number 36 is the year or not? can not find anything on it? THANKS ,HUB

Yes, that doesn't make sense does it? I know they were using inch pitch into the early 50's, but I doubt they went into the 60's. Also, the only Eclipse hubs I've seen were on old bikes, and I'm not aware that Schwinn ever used them. So, I think maybe my prototype theory doesn't hold much water. Any chance that somone just respoked the hub into a 20 inch rim? Is the sheeve proportionate for the wheel, or could it be the same size as used on a 24 or 26 inch? Lottsa questions but no answers.

Try bikesurfer@aol.com. I know he has at least one Bowden and he sells the Bowden repops. He might also have some of the other ones you are looking for. If that email doesn't work, try bac2the50s@aol.com, he seems to be using that email address on Ebay.

Does it look like the woman's Harley in our Picture Database?

Harley-Davidson bicycles are hard to come buy and can be worth a lot to both bicycle and motorcycle collectors.
