WANTED:   High loop sissybar posted by: mike on 2/20/2001 at 7:55:33 PM
I'm still looking for a high loop sissybar for my 1965 Deluxe stingray is there any out there? Maybe Bigfoot has one in his garage... Has anyone seen Bigfoot? He might be easier to find than that highloop.

RE:WANTED:   High loop sissybar posted by Skippy on 2/21/2001 at 7:59:23 PM
Check ebay the is one on there right now it ends Feb.27.48" Tall sissy bar 4 vintage banana seat bike
Item #1114990253

RE:WANTED:   High loop sissybar posted by mike on 2/22/2001 at 6:03:21 PM
Thanks, Skippy but I believe that is a tall aftermarket type sissybar. The one I'm looking for is a factory stock sissy bar that looped only about 6 inches or so over the seat, these where only produced in 1965 on stock stingrays, I have 2 1965 rays that need them a standard ray and a deluxe., but thanks for trying to help me out...

FOR SALE:   bike shops vs. collectors posted by: Tom G on 2/20/2001 at 12:10:29 PM
I like finding and fixing vintage bikes, I also have owned
as many as 3 stores at a time; now just one old schwinn shop.
I know alot about Schwinn from 1947 on but was either in
college or in another profession during the krate era. Also,
I have learned more about bikes from collectors than from
my own professional experience, so I dont knock the collector.
But....some of them are NOT AWARE of the new age shop owner.
Just stay away from them; all they want is your money. I
want your money too, but I also want info and am willing to
listen to your rather lengthy stories...have a few of my own.
Bottom line, give us a call or e-mail anytime:

MISC:   Shorter History of Completed Ebay Auctions??? posted by: AllAntiques on 2/20/2001 at 11:37:38 AM
I used to be able to use Ebay to research antique bike prices, but now they seem to only keep a 2-week history. It used to be you could go back months and find all kinds of bikes and prices.
Anyone else notice this?
