MISC:   ?Schwinn/Firestone middleweight bicycle posted by: Donna on 6/9/2001 at 8:05:04 PM
My Grandpa had a bike, Firestone probably dates late 1960's to early 1970's. Everthing original(tires, paint, body)Interested to know if any collectors can give a possible estimate of value. We were selling in a yard sale and was told by an unknown person that we were selling it at too cheap a price--worth much more.
If anyone could email me and let me know anything about it..It would be wonderful. Thank You

MISC:   Jaubert Road Bike Info Needed! posted by: Cathy on 6/6/2001 at 12:39:07 PM
Hi,

I'm restoring my father's old (circa 1960s) French Jaubert road
bike, and would enjoy receiving info on the manufacturer.
The bike was purchased from White Front in 1969; it is
equipped with an eclectic mix of components, including
vintage Campy hardware, a quirky steel crankset, and five
cogs in the rear. It also has braze-ons for a top-tube-
mounted pump and down-tube shifters. Thanks in advance for
any inputs.

Your best bet is probably swap meets and Ebay. I occasionally see them but not very often.

Cheng Shin is a common brand, you may be able to find them at your local Walmart. If not, they will have a similar tire of the same quality.
