FOR SALE:   69' Murray Eliminator F2 posted by: Troy Niemuth on 8/22/2001 at 4:08:10 PM
One Eliminator for sale, paint has scratches(nothing that can't be touched up) frame decals are still decent, decal on chain gaurd is poor and the gaurd is missing the yellow backround paint. It appears to me that this bike either never had that scheme or some one removed it and applied a new decal? the rims are presentable but there are some corroded spokes (two are broken) the shifter has faded plastic/chrome that may clean up but it will never be perfect, the shift knob is missing,&so is the backrest and seat reflecter. The tape on the handle bars matches the backrest area so..I don't know whether it was ever there? The seat is mettalic purple as are the brake grips! The pedals are worn as are the tires and should be replaced, the front tire is not red striped. The chrome is decent and presentable but I would rechrome the chain gaurd as there are small but serious rust spots where the yellow paint should go? the pretzel handle bars look real good with no road rash visable. I have a lead on a NOS shifter if any one is interested. This bike from an automotive 1-5 scale would be a # 3. It should be worth something to the right person. I broke my back and am forced to sell my prized possesion that I wanted for my son.I am going into surgury soon and need a quick sale but I will not give it away either. Please call 920-803-6236 anytime! or if you have further questions icq me at #65833673 Thank-you and please put the word out.(Most important is that it goes to a good home and if it ever goes up for sale I want it back as this was my bike for many years)

Is the shifter you described a Shimano 3 speed Click Stick?
If so, I need a replacemnt for one too and would appreciate any leads you could offer in finding a NOS part.

MISC:   amf roadmaster posted by: Dan on 8/21/2001 at 12:49:39 AM
If anyone could help me out with this I would be most appreciative. As I was driving to work the other day I was running. But two blocks up from my house I spotted in someones' trash from the corner or my eye what I thought to be a very clean swchinn or raleigh 3 speed. I was runnig late so I got on my cell and called my mom and said go look at it and if looks decent, take it. She did and called my right back. I asked "what is it ?" "oh ,something that said roadmaster." Cool. I thought. When I got home I looked in the garage I found it to be an almost mint shape AMF roadmaster. Not the one with the fake pipes and stuff; but a three speed boys bike. I estimated it might be a 68 to maybe 71. Perfect fenders. A rack on the back. Hub cleaners. Attached wheel generator for front and back lights. Light surface rust on the handle bars and the fender rods. Perfect 3 speed shift. Brakes with original cables and virtually no wear on the pads. An oversize saddle that might not be original. But otherwise quite a find in somesones' trash. However my proble lies within the fact that I am having trouble locating any info on this gem the serial number is r498312. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if anyone trully needs this bike to add to their collection, please let me know. My phone number is 3305717407. Sincerely Dan
