RE:WANTED:   WANTED!!! STINGRAY FRAME posted by James Donohue on 12/24/2002 at 6:56:44 PM
I had one but someone stole it. The date stamped on the one piece crank was 1967. It was black, had a cast metal mag wheel rear and a Diamondback BMX fork.
If I still had it , I'd be willing to sell it.
Anyway that's what happened to my Stingray.

I have a early WESTFIELD SPORTS TRAVELER COMPAX paratrooper bike (the lightweight with the skinny rims). It's all there - skip-tooth, New Departure Hubs, Meteor pedals, 1 and 7/8 of the grips remain and the original tires. The fenders are remakably straight. The seat frame is there but of course, the leather is gone. (See the one in the museum @ http://home.earthlink.net/'oldbicycle/indexoaklandA.htm ) $425.00 shipped. Need pics, can do. D
