Does anyone have an idea of how much this bicycle is worth? It is an early 50s Rudge man's bicycle with original paintwork, cables brakes, no rust and 23x1 3/8 size wheels. It has not got it's original handbars.

I'm looking for information about a Dawes Galaxy. It is from the early 70s and has Alvit/Huret components with a Brooks saddle. I believe that the headbadge says it was made in England. I would consider selling it for $100 if someone were interested.

For that vintage, it should be on the right rear dropout.
If it's not there, check in the headbadge area.

Sources like RBR ( http://hiwheel.com ) have new reproduction Schwinn-style cantilever frames for this purpose. They go for $35-40, plus shipping. If you want an old frame, Gordon Bradbury can fix you up (gbradbur@dia.net).
