FOR SALE:   Sears/Huffy middleweight tank posted by: Bob on 4/5/2002 at 1:57:51 AM
I am just completing the restoration of my childhood bike, it is a Sears Mainliner, and I need the tank/light assembly. It had a chrome plastic bezel, dual headlights, and the switch was on the bottom. The bike is a 26" middleweight. (I took the tank off and threw it away when all my friends got stingrays...arrrggg!!)
Thanks in advance, and thanks to anybody I have already emailed with this request. If you would like to see photo's of the bike in 1966, and before and after pics of it now...please email me.
Thanks again
Bob

I have an AMF ser.# 2452-a17. It looks like it is from the 70's in mint condition and I am trying to find out what model it is and how much it's worth can anyone help?

RE:MISC:   what is it worth posted by Cal on 4/5/2002 at 1:54:15 PM
That's not enough information to go on.
Is it a musclebike? Balloon Tire? Lightweight?
What size tires?
Man or woman's model?
Any accessories (tank, lights, springer?)

Have a look in the picture database to try to figure out what model it is.

As far as I can tell it is a musclebike. It has 24" tires and it says western flyer on it.It is a 3 speed stick and is a mans bike. Again it is made by amf and the ser.# is 2452-A17. Can anyone help identify?

WANTED:   Schwinn Girls Bantam 20" posted by: DALE on 4/4/2002 at 4:44:19 PM
Can anyone please tell me how to find the year this bike was built? I found a number on the goose neck of the bike, MR589133 and was wondering what year it was and the possible value of it. It is red and is in good condition, has a basket, schwinn bell and is actually a nice looking bike, however I am clue less on the age and value of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

RE:WANTED:   Schwinn Girls Bantam 20 posted by ken on 4/4/2002 at 8:44:51 PM
look again at the number; it probably only has five digits if the letters are in fact MR, and in that case the correct date is Dec 1980.
