Art:
I have a green 1969 Schwinn Suburban looking for a home, but it might smaller than you want. It measures 23" from bottom of bottom bracket to top of seat tube or 20 1/2" from center bb to center of top tube. Most Suburbans I have seen have upright type bars, a derailler & 5 speed free wheel but mine has a Sturmey Archer 3 speed & chrome drop bars. I live in Olympia, Wa. Let me know if you are interested. Art,
I have Raleigh Sports, measure 23.5" from center of the BB to the top of the seat tube. Green metallic with black insert on headtube, nice decals / transfers, all original, mechanically perfect, cosmetically 7-8 /10, Sturmey AW hub, north road type handle bar, new tires & tubes, brazed pump pegs, Brooks mattress saddle and Heron crank. Probably amongst the last from Nottingham.

FOR SALE:   Raleigh Superbe and Folder for sale posted by: Pravin on 8/14/2002 at 6:04:06 PM
Hello there,

I have a couple of bikes for sale, if anyone is interested (preferably from the Houston area so that s/he can pick up the bicycle and I don't have to pack it). I was considering selling it through eBay (sellername: cheapcharlies)... but I thought this would be quicker. I will accept the best offer... will wait until Sunday.

1. 1969 Raleigh Folder Twenty
Green. Has painted mudguards (standard for this model year). very good condition... some items replaced such as grips and brakes, SA trigger, 90% decals intact. Problem with front mudguard (bent/rubs against the front tire).

2. 1960/late 50s Men's Raleigh Sport/ Raleigh Superbe?
This is a Black Raleigh Sport with a Dynohub, both lights, rear rack (with all these extras, it seems more like a Superbe). Hockey-stick style chainguard. Missing rear reflector as well as screw for headlight, and one nut for front dynohub. Nice Brooks saddle. Decals 80%-90% intact... Really classic-looking bike. I would rate it as being 8.5/10 as far as condition is concerned.

Thanks,
Pravin

RE:FOR SALE:   Raleigh Superbe and Folder for sale posted by Pravin on 8/14/2002 at 7:46:33 PM
I forgot to mention a couple of other things... the Superbe/Sports has the original pump included... 'tall frame' style. Also, although everything seems intact and in great shape, the lights currently do not work; so you may have to tinker with it a little. Feel free to ask any questions.

MISC:   Dunelt Bicycle posted by: SHerri TUtor on 8/13/2002 at 2:11:02 PM
I have found a late 50's - 60's Dunelt ladies 3 speed bike at a Thrift store for $ 20.00 and I was wondering if you could give me any info on these bikes. I know it is a early 60's bike it has a big round headlight , a small red light mounted in the side near the tire a bell and the thing that you change the speed with is metal. I think it is a 3 speed with had brakes. The asking price is $ 20.00 ( american dollars). I am looking for a bike to fix up and ride. The overall frame is in good conditon the only thing wrong is that it needs new tires. Do you think I would be better off putting my $ 20.00 towards buying a new bike or trying to restore this one? Is this a good bike company? Are parts easy to find in the US? or is this bike a collectors item? Any info would be appreicated. Thanks!!

congratulations, you've gotten a good buy. Use these postings but click on English Roadsters instead. There is a wealth of information on this site. Most parts are readily available through these pages and hobbyists. Ask questions and enjoy your new Brit bicycle as my son and I have done with the over half a dozen Brit bikes we own between us.( many we have bought for between $5.00 and $55.00 Paul

Just wondering;how do you folks pronounce the name Dunelt?.I've always said "doon-ay",sort of a french(?)style where the "elt" is silent.Just my guess though. What do you folks say???.Thanks, Craig.

FOR SALE:   1929 C.C.M. Cleveland bicycle. posted by: Jacques V. on 8/13/2002 at 1:20:31 AM
I own this rare bike, stamped serial no: "L4781" since my brother gave it to me in 1936, he had bought it in 1929. It is in original mint condition (Except for new 1 3/8" X 28" tires and tubes in 1992), no rust, I take it for a ride once in a while. It is double bar, double fork, everything original, leather seat, parcel rack, two-tone bell, flashlight holder. A kick stand was added around 1944. Re-painted original red with ash-rose (beige)colored fenders. It is a carbon copy of it's brother on display in the "Canadian Museum of sciences" in Ottawa Can. Would consider selling for worthwhile offer. I can arrange to E-Mail picture on request.

FOR SALE:   7 truckloads to move quickly. posted by: VVVintage Vintage Bicycles, Inc. at OldRoads.com on 8/12/2002 at 2:47:10 PM
We just picked up 7 pickup truck loads of parts from a bike shop that went out of business.

Most of it is fairly new, not vintage, and we will want to move it quickly.

Hundereds of tires, wheelsets, complete bicycles (mostly Gary Fisher) lots of road and MTB parts. Also tons of Thule and Yakima racks, adapters, etc.

Everything's gotta go. Send email with your wish list and we'll see what we have and quote
a price with shipping. We'll sell it individually or in bulk. We need to make room for another (older) shop closeout which we're negotiating right now.
