WANTED:   Monarch Silver King Supertwin posted by: Jay on 10/13/2003 at 10:55:15 PM
Hi, We have a late model Monarch Silver King Supertwin motorized petal bike. We need parts such as fenders, handlebars, flywheel cover, front forks and spring, ect. Any information would be helpful.Even just to point us in the right direction. We dont't know what it is worth either.

Thank you for your assistance.

RE:WANTED:   Monarch Silver King Supertwin posted by JimW. on 10/14/2003 at 2:01:10 AM
The SuperTwin is one of the most desirable vintage motorbikes there is. It's well worth a restoration. I can't give you a valuation on it, but a nice one should be worth serious money. In my opinion, the Super Twin should be worth more than a Whizzer of equal condition.

does any one know the value of a vintage kent frame

RE:WANTED:   kent posted by Nick on 10/13/2003 at 11:34:53 PM
It might make an interesting kenitic sculpture. Could probably sell the sculpture for $50 - $100 if you're a good artist.

WANTED:   Kickstand for english hercules bicycle. posted by: Nick Goffee on 10/12/2003 at 2:12:06 PM
Looking for a kickstand to attach to a 53 english hercules 3 speed with chaincase and rod brakes,so NOT looking for the type that fits through bottom bracket.(becuase the rod brakes get in the way!)

There was a brand of kickstand by the name of SHURESTA in the fifties that i believe would be appropriate.

Please help!

NICK GOFFEE

I've seen them mounted nr the bottom bracket; I think they don't actually interfere. I have one of those stands that clamps to the left frame end on mine. Not really authentic, but it works fine.

MISC:   3 wheeled bikes posted by: Dick on 10/12/2003 at 1:10:54 AM
This Question doesn't fit most categories, but I need to know: Is there any interest anywhere (other than old folks in florida) in 3 wheeled bikes? I haven't seen them yet, but they come from closed large corporation facilities. If I got them what would I do with them? Help!!!!

RE:MISC:   3 wheeled bikes posted by jon c. on 10/12/2003 at 5:15:54 AM
do you have a line on some of these 3 wheelers? are they from the workman bike co.? you looking to do some wheelin and dealing? may sell a few to joe public, might be a hard sell back to other companies, only one way to find out.
where are you located?

RE:RE:MISC:   3 wheeled bikes posted by Dick on 10/13/2003 at 1:29:32 AM
I will get to see them in several weeks. I have no idea who made them. I am in Maryland. I am temptedto dive in headfirst. Wheeling and dealing is what this is all about.

RE:RE:RE:MISC:   3 wheeled bikes posted by JimW. on 10/14/2003 at 1:57:19 AM
If they're by Worksman or Schwinn, they're well worth snatching up. Both makes are well-made industrial quality, and they'll last forever. If they're by anyone else, they're just "granny trikes" and are not so desirable.
