MISC:   Gobby Explorer Tri-wheeler posted by: Sue on 2/2/2003 at 10:43:15 PM
I inherited a Gobby Explorer Tri-wheeler with basket. It was ridden back in the 70's/80's, but I do not know the year that it was made. It's in good condition and rides just fine! DOES ANYONE KNOW ITS VALUE?? If so, please email me before it goes to the curb.

I am interested in finding out more information about this trike. Could you please tell me about its history? Do you have an internet site where I could research it perhaps? I measured the wheels at 20" according to the outside of the rim, but I'm not sure if the back comes off? Do you know anything about Gobby Manufacturing? Please share.

FOR SALE:   AMF Jet Pilot Roadmaster posted by: Tonya Morgan McCurdy on 2/1/2003 at 9:54:45 PM
I have a girls AMF Roadmaster Jet Pilot bicycle. It's in pretty good shape and has all it's orginal parts. I can't seem to find out what it's worth, how old it is, or where I should try to sell it. The fins, headlight, and everything is original. It's beginning to get some wear in my garage. It's color is a blue green and there was a guy's bike at the same sale that matched it, but I couldn't afford both of them. There is an old man in town that wants me to give him a price, but I don't know what to tell him. Can someone please help me? All other sites like e-bay only get into AMF Harley stuff and I have a lot of Harley stuff, but this bike is cool. I've always loved fins on cars and bikes and it even has the place on the back of the seat for someone to hold on to. Thanks for youe help. Tonya

Schwinn did not use the letters i or o to avoid confusion with the numbers one and zero.

RE:WANTED:   ser number posted by ken on 1/31/2003 at 2:41:20 AM
Where is the number located? Some of them are poorly stamped; there may be more to it. Have you looked at pictures? Try http://nostalgic.net/arc/bicycles/

Gordon and I may have been hasty, especially myself since I have not one but two schwinn-builts with serial numbers under the bottom bracket, beginning with I followed by 5 digits. Have you made any progress with ID?
