I'm in quest of a CCM Charger, strctly for nostogia, as this was my first bike. Condition isn't particlarily important, but despite a high end mountain bike (and living in the famed North Vancouver mountains)I still pine for my old ride, with a set of ram's horn handlebars.

WANTED:   Komet Super coaster brake bearings posted by: Ron on 8/14/2003 at 5:53:12 PM
Looking for coaster brake bearings for a Komet Super coaster brake. The bike is a single speed 26 inch racer made in the 1960's and sold by no less than JC Penny under the Foremost label. My local dealer has seen the brake assembly and is very familiar with it and says they are not made anymore, but some people might have old ones around.
By the way, these bearings must be flexible and not rigid, because he says they have to spread a little to get them in place.
On the hub the markings are: F & S G, Komet Super 161 36

Ron, I've never heard of flexible bearings. Can you explain this another way? I do have a wheel in the basement with a Komet coaster hub, but I haven't checked it for ID numbers.

tons of makers used Komet hubs in the 60,s be easier just to find a complete wheel or hub that works good had several of these in the past and they work great when in good condition lots of guys on e bay who sell parts should be a easy find.

MISC:   Peugeot UO-8 posted by: Frank on 8/14/2003 at 2:09:44 PM
Looking for value with possibility of selling a "his and her" matched set of UO-8's, blue color, circa 1974. Except for one new rim on the male model, both have all original parts, including Mafax brakes. In fact, the female model has the original tires. Male model has dropped bars but female model has conventional bars. Both are in very good condition with female model even better. Is there a market for these bikes? Thanks CivWarGuy @ aol com.

WANTED:   Sears MX Dual shock motocross bicycle posted by: Mark on 8/13/2003 at 1:30:36 AM
Would like to find an original, mint condition bike from my childhood. It was sold through Sears in the late 1970's and was a single speed pedal bike with front telescopic shocks and chrome spring rear shocks. It had red plastic fenders and fake gas tank. I am not sure of the make. It was made to imitate a real motorcycle (man, did I love that bike!). Any help would be appreciated even the model number or make, old ads from the spring/summer catologues etc. Will look at ones needing resto as long as the plastic tank and fenders are complete.

Hello
I have a zeus 10 speed from the early 80's that has been
hanging in my garage that I would like to sell. Would anyone
know how I can find out what it is worth and the best
place to try to sell a bike like this?

RE:FOR SALE:   Zeus 10 speed posted by Ken on 8/15/2003 at 5:14:08 PM
You have to provide lots of information aboutyour bike including frame and wheel sizes, components, male/female, etc. before potential buyers can estimate their interest in what you have. However, you're starting with good news: Capt Bike says Zeus is cool.
