WANTED:Vintage Japanese Bicycle posted by: Troyce Walls on 7/30/2003 at 11:01:18 AM
Greetings,

I'm currently on a quest for a black-paint Japanese bicycle of late 1940s, early 1950s vintage. Require the brake lever be of the "full across" or "single" type, whatever it is called, wherein there is just one piece that pivots at or near the steering stem, ala vintage Raleigh.

Thanks!

'Troyce

FOR SALE:'69 Schwinn Varsity for Trade or sale posted by: Steven on 7/29/2003 at 9:12:41 PM
Hello,
I am looking for a Motobecane Grand Touring from the early seventies.
I am willing to trade a 1969 Schwinn Varsity cruiser style 10 speed. It is in great overall condition, with original spring seat, the handle bars are clean and shiney with no scratches and the original grips are perfect. The chrome fenders are in very good condition with only a couple of minor dents on the rear.
I would like to find Motobecane Grand Touring in similar condtion as I bought one new in 1974 and had it stolen in Denver that same summer, it was white with black lettering.
I can send pictues of the Varsity and I live in SW Minnesota.
Thanks,
Steven

WANTED:CENTURION MIXTE, circa 1980? posted by: Sarah on 7/29/2003 at 5:19:50 PM
I am looking for a bike I got in about 1980, silver w/burgundy, mixte style; I think it was 5 speeds (there was also a regular 10-speed style) by Centurion -- it may have been called Sport Dlx or something similar. Any leads or info greatly appreciated.

EXCELLENT CONDITION, less than 200 miles from new. Original light weight three spoke crank set, only change from the box is an Avocet seat rather than Brooks saddle. Has made great wall art but deserves to be ridden. Reasonable offers please.
