Could that possibly be LaSalle? I've heard of that, but not LaLalle.

Here is a La Salle on ebay. Looking at the pic of the headbadge I can see why you might think the "S" is an "L".

We recently bought an old bicycle and the little metal plate on the bicycle says LaSorLalle from Chicago. We really wanted to see a picture of one to see if it is like ours. Ours is a girls large bicycle and its in excellent shape for the guessing of the year. Please reply

MISC:   Schwinn Town and Country Tricycle posted by: Jess on 6/22/2004 at 7:33:40 PM
Hello. I happend across a schwinn trike in a yard and luckily the guy sold it to me. I love my trike, but I want to know the year on it. It has the old schwinn tires (size 24 x ?), when I look closely I can see where "Town and Country" once was, and it's a 3 speed. Any ideas on the year?

I have an old Ross Apollo 5 Speed. Its in ok condition. I have put in a little work on it to make it shine and whatnot. How do I find out its value, and will I have any problems selling it?

What color is it? I had a black one with the shifter on the center rail - is that like yours? I am looking for one for my son and would be interested for a reasonable price. - look up completed sales on Ebay for similiar bikes and lets talk price and condition on scale of 1 to 100.

I can get one if you are still interested. It's in good mechanical shape, but needs some cleaning up. Is the size an issue?

THANKS!

WANTED:   looking for schwinn grips and schwinn frame, ANY CONDTION posted by: J. dude on 6/19/2004 at 4:47:50 PM
Hi, I'm looking for a pair of Schwinn Handle grips in Yellow, red, black and another in Purple, the better the condtion...the better. (some small scratchs are ok)
I'm also looking for a 20" schwinn boys "cantalever" frame, ANY CONDTION, a later model one would probably be better but I'm interested in almost any year. I MAY condsider an off brand frame that looks like what I want.

I'm also looking for schwinn looking "ducktail" rear fenders in ok condtion as well as Handle bars, around 22" x 16", chrome doesn't have to be perfect. also looking for a 16" schwinn front rim and tire, in ok condtion for an affordable price.

would also be interested in a schwinn stick shift for either a 3 or 5 speed, in ok condtion.

Thanks, Weststreetbikes@hotmai.com

MISC:   Raleigh age question posted by: route66 on 6/18/2004 at 7:28:58 PM
Hi, I have an old male Raleigh that I will be selling. It's in excellent condition, but I'm not sure where to start. How do I tell, first of all, what year the bike was made? My grandmother thought it was "about 50 years old" but we really don't know. I had it completely cleaned & reconditioned and it's a nice ride, but it's just too big for me. I'd rather someone were enjoying it.

and style of brakes

If your bike has a Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub look on the casing to find the last two numbers of the date the hub was manufactured. Mine has "AW 64". This means the hub (and likley the whole bicycle) was made in 1964, they work great in spite of being found at a junk yard. I think you should charge a high price for your bicycle if you sell it.

MISC:   Possible 1950's or 60's western Flyer posted by: David Simmons on 6/18/2004 at 5:40:34 AM
I need some assistance. A friend of mine has a bicycle that he believes is a Western Flyer. It has the speedometer on it(2,977miles), rear carrier rack, headlight, the tires are Sears(I believe he said), and all original parts. I do have a picture. He is looking for any/all information possible. Possible value, is it a Vintage bicycle etc. If anyone can help please e-mail me. Would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
