FOR SALE:   a shed full of bikes posted by: Howard on 8/26/2004 at 12:09:04 AM
I have a shed full of bicycles, but I need the space. Will sell or trade for motorbikes, mopeds, minibikes or motor scooters. You might get a pickup load of bikes for one old motor scooter. There are six or seven old Schwinns in there. Nothing like a rare old fat-tire, but some 30-year old bikes. I have a very early Sears 10-speed tourer with wide fenders, a Kia banana seat bike, and lots of others. Also some parts and accessories. Won't ship, bring a pickup. I'm in Tennessee.

I have made no attempt to "clean it up" and it has little to no rust but needs tires etc. Anyone interested Please contact me because I have no desire to keep this mike. Thanks

FOR SALE:   Vintage Bicycle Collection for Sale posted by: H on 8/19/2004 at 9:59:50 PM
Two years ago, My daughter and I purchased 2 buildings in downtown Becker, Minnesota. The previous owner was a vintage bicycle collector, and also operated a bicycle repair and restoration establishment. The previous owners elderly widowed wife needed to move to a smaller home and needed to sell the bicycle business along with the buildings. We are now operating a Multi Dealer Antique Mall in both buildings, and we now need to make room for more dealer space and antiques in our mall, so we are eager to sell all of the inventory of these vintage bicycles and parts. The inventory includes approximately 100 complete bicycles, 1000's of parts including many old new parts still in the original packaging. Many old new fenders. Lot's of wheels, tires, handle bars, grips, name plates, sprockets, cranks, chain guards etc.... Feel free to call me at home. Ask for Holly (763) 262-6376 (Minnesota) or leave me your phone number and I will call you for sure.

I'm sorry, I really want to sell the entire inventory, the parts are worth as much as the bikes, and I don't have the meens to sell parts alone, buy I'll keep your name just in case

   RE:FOR SALE:   Vintage Bicycle Collection for Sale posted by larry on 9/18/2004 at 9:06:36 AM
yes hello;
i like to say no offense, but you really should take the time and price all the bikes and parts, who knows what you have, could be a small fortune, im interested in maybe a bike or two, like schwinn krates, sting-rays and fastbacks, some of these bikes alone go for thousands each in mint and original condition. are they all different kinds of makes, models? from the 30`s , 60`s? this woman who sold the buisness, i feel sorry for, she probably lost her shirt on this, but im not blaming you! try to find a little history about this, it might be worth your while, some scumbag, could rip you blind, saying yeah ill give you like 20 grand for everything, and you had like 60 grand, say worth of stuff! maybe it would be best to sell some stuff seperatley. let me know if you want to. larry.

WANTED:   tires for 1982 Fuji Grand SE 23" posted by: Ann Powers on 8/19/2004 at 6:54:10 PM
I have a 23" Fuji Grand SE which I bought in 1982. It hasn't been used in a long time and when I took it to the bike shop to be cleaned up and get new tires. I was told that tires are not available for it since the rims did not have a "hook" on them. My only option seemed to be to throw away the bike away and buy a new one. Can anyone suggest where to get tires?

   RE:WANTED:   tires for 1982 Fuji Grand SE 23 posted by joel on 8/19/2004 at 8:55:51 PM
You can certainly get tires for it. If you don't get a reply here try the lightweight forum.

I got a new tire for mine at my local bike shop last summer. No one even mentioned the age of the bike. I suggest you try another bike shop.
