I think I have a 1952 (+ of - 2 years) Black Phantom type Schwinn. I am restoring it but need to find the handle and cable for the front brake. Also how do I find the serial no. Thanks

Serial number will be under the crank housing or just above the rear axle on the left hand side. You can try asking the guys on the Schwinn forum for a brake handle (www.schwinnbikes.com) goto heritage and forums. Or you can watch on ebay.com, but I haven't seen one on there in a long time. They are not that easy to come by. Good luck.

FOR SALE:   Schwinn posted by: Lisa on 10/4/2006 at 1:46:15 PM
I recently bought a 1972 Schwinn Breeze -- it has all of its original parts. Does anyone have an idea of what I might get if I sell it?

Shipping is the first step in selling. If you can't ship the bike you will have to sell local. Ebay you might get $50. Local you might as well give it away. This is a tough frame to pack into a bicycle box. The last one I had I gave to someone who had theirs stolen. I had a 66 Varsity in pretty shape that only sold for $65 on Ebay in June. Ed

I see you're selling a Schwinn. Do you have any idea what a 1972 Schwinn Breeze might go for?

I have an old Galli Super Criterium roller bearing headset and am missing the fork race for it. I would love to get either a complete headset or any spare parts (crown race or otherwise). Either English or Italian threading is fine. Thanks
