MISC:   Anyone ever heard of a Scheuer "President" Bicycle posted by: kilroy75633 on 2/11/2006 at 7:09:30 PM
I work at a garbage transfer station. Some kids were cleaning out their uncles house (he passed away). They had this little girls bicycle and bunch of other junk to throw away.I got the bike..Its a "President" bicycle it says "President" on the chain guard and on the tank.On the head badge it says design by SCHEUER.The two tone seat has a big "S" on it.It looks like a cruiser, but everything is small even the seat.It has 20" tires. The paint is faded. The bike is great except on the front chrome fender. It looks like something mounted on it.The rear reflector is still on the back.Does anyone know any info on this bike.It looks old because it has a tank on it, and the chain guard is big and elaborate with a chrome rack in the back over the fender.Any help would be appreciated.Because I can't find out anything on it.

somewhere or other in my pile of bikes i have one of these , I thought that my rear rack and fenders are the same color as the bike , I dont know anything about it other than what you are missing on the front fender is a light (or at least it is on mine)Im thinking that mine is from the early 60's judging from the cottered cranks. Hope this is of some help to you

FOR SALE:   Three (3) Vintage Schwinns, one (1) Elgin posted by: Ted Mills on 2/11/2006 at 5:32:08 PM
I have three Schwinn bicycles, completely restored to include "parade" chrome, Poly-Urethane pinstripe paint and all original parts for sale. They are: 1938 Elgin ladies "Windcruiser", 1949 springer front Schwinn, 1953 cruiser with "Delta Rocket-Ray" headlamp (functional), and a 1962 2 speed "kick-back" rear hub half tank. I do not really know what they are worth. I know they all ride exceptionally nicely and they were a "labor of love" to rebuild. Now that I am nearing my 60's, I think it's about time I put them on the market. I have both "before and after" pictures of each if anyone is interested. I currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area.

FOR SALE:   1950's Scwhinn BF Goodrich Spitfire ladies posted by: marcia on 2/11/2006 at 5:16:37 PM
This bike is in very good condition. It does have many scratches in the paint, but the existing paint is still glossy. It rides very smooth but would benefit from a restoration. All original parts intact, except seat. There are two rear license/bike plates. One from Oregon and one from Sacramento.
$350 or OBO not including shipping.
