MISC:   WW2 Cycle Truck? posted by: Lisa on 4/20/2006 at 10:17:52 AM
I listed a very old bicycle that I had been told was a delivery bicycle during WW2, possibly a military bike. I have 18 watchers overnight on this, and 4 people wanting me to end the auction and buy it outright. I do not know what this bike is worth at all, but am beginning to think it is pretty rare. Should I end the auction and sell at a set price? Any suggestions would be appreciated. The listing number is 6623426503 if anyone would want to take a look. Thanks in advance for any help.

I wouldn't stop the auction early.
Let it run and let the market do it's thing!

I sold a ton of them in the 70's. Nice bike for the price, I think around $120. Wish I had kept one for myself also.

I got one for Christmas in either '72 or '73 (I had to pay for half of it). Was still riding it in '88, but sold it at a garage sale in '90. Was bitten by the road bike bug hard in '03 and wish I still had my Kalkoff

Have an assortment of bikes here (approx 12) that I'd like to sell. I don't know what they're worth. I don't want take the time to list them on ebay. If anyone would make me an offer on any that are of any value, I'll recycle the rest. I'm in NW IA if anyone wants to look at them, or I can email pics to serious person.
