I rode this bike for years in the south loop of Chicago. It's a Monark Model 4300 Serial No.A08 1005 I now live in Madison Wi. and I'm too old and it's too hilly for me to enjoy the ride. I was wondering, given this information, if someone could tell me the year and how difficult it would be to restore this bike seeing it's been used and has seen some wear. Thank you. ph
I don't know of any Monark serial number charts.
Have a look at the Monarks in the Picture Database here. That should help you narrow down the year.
Does anyone know where I could get a pair of barrel adjusters for a set of campy nouvo record brakes? I've looked on ebay but have come up empty handed - any help would be appreciated.
Going to be listed that same way as a trade deal,or will sell for $300. Its is the older Badge era B-6 with a Admiral badge Its Maroon with ivory and will need to be restord.I hope to list it by 5/14/06
I just came across a horn that is about 4", round, with a mounting tab on the bottom. I hit it with a 6V battery and it made a little noise. I tried to do some research on it and I'm guessing it came of a mid-30's Schwinn? Any help here? What's it from? What's it worth? I would appreciate any any input. THANKS!! SW
I have a very nice original man's Royal Scot Bicycle in Gold. Is anyone interested?
