MISC:   1951 & 1962 (?) Mens and Womens posted by: Anita on 6/23/2006 at 12:37:18 PM
Some time ago a friend gave my husband and I a couple of Old Schwinns. A 1951 Corvette, and I believe it's a 1962 Deputant. I have had them for more than 6 years and don't get to ride. Wanted to restore the paint jobs, and the'Dep.' needs a new front tire. It holds air, but I'd say the tires are original as the white wall is seperating from the black. Anyone know what the value of these might be? Probably worth restoring, but if not I can't afford to do so. Let me know, can get picture if wanted.

You may want to check that serial# chart on this site on the Corvette; Chevy brought out the name in 1953, then Schwinn followed with their Corvette debut in '54.

Hi I have a Sears Spyder bike, unrestored but doesn't need a lot of work.
Does anyone know how many of these were made and if this is a desirable collectors bike?

FOR SALE:    posted by: mike on 6/21/2006 at 10:01:52 PM
For sale is a 1977 Raleigh Super Course 12 speed. This bike has been hanging in a garage for the last 15 years. The paint is nice with a few
scrapes. The handlebars, neck, cranks, and deraillers are all aluminum. This bike brakes and shifts well, and it is very light. It only weighs 23 pounds. The tires should be replaced, they ride as is but they are originals to the bike and are worn out. asking 250 obo or will trade. Thanks,Mike

FOR SALE:   1976 Raleigh Grand Prix posted by: Laura on 6/21/2006 at 4:36:37 AM
Hi - I have an old Raleigh Grand Prix, 10 speed. Based on the catalog descriptions and color (white with black), it appears to be from 1976. It's a men's bike, 21.5 inch frame, good condition, all original parts, very low riding miles. Could anyone please advise what it might be worth? Thanks!
