FOR SALE:   1952???? posted by: Lore on 6/24/2006 at 4:18:17 AM
I left a message, two down about an old schwinn. I can not find any bikes like this on the web anywhere. Could it be a custom made bike? It has the model number GO486, but it is a 6 speed at least it says, cruiser supreme and has the number 6 decals on it. I am confused, can anyone offer me some help?

Send me some pictures. Also examine the components. Most of them can be dated. If you don't know the names of all the parts, do some research. Start by reviewing http://sheldonbrown.com/beginners/index.html

MISC:   1952 schwinn posted by: Lore on 6/23/2006 at 8:36:14 PM
the serial number matches date of 12/05/1952. It is a mens 6 speed bike with all original paint rims etc. It says cruiser supreme on it and has a made in chicago mark. The serial number is GO486.and is on the left rear tire area. I am interested in selling this and was wondering if anyone could tell me how much it may be worth. I can give photo if desired.

Hi, I'm looking for a swingbike in good condition. I plan to ride it most weekends so it needs to be rideable. I don't mind a slight resto job. The only snag is that i live in the UK. I have tried several times to get one shipped but the sellers aren't willing to package the bikes :o( If you know of anyone selling that knows how to pack a bike please let me know. Thank you
