WANTED:   Raleigh Colt 3-speed boys posted by: Miss Information on 6/26/2006 at 10:07:38 PM
When I was a kid I had a boys Raleigh 3-speed Colt, green. I really loved it. It was stolen out of our garage. Much later I moved to the SF Bay Area and ran across a poster listing a red one for sale. I snapped it up. I still loved it! I'm short and it fit me great, felt really cool riding around town and I just love that swooped top tube. Over the years I had and lost 2 more (stolen, stolen, crushed by a truck). Last one was about 7 years ago. I recently found a girls model and I like it but it has only whetted my appetite to find one like I used to have.

Does anyone have one they want to sell? I live in the greater SF Bay Area. Or does anyone have any info or stories about Colts? Looking around on the net recently I have seen a couple of Raleigh Space Riders, they look pretty similar, anyone know anything about them?

How much do you think a dark green raleigh colt with the serial number of 42/3644 in almost perfect condition is going to be worth? I have one and I might be willing to sell somebody for a resonable price. Please contact me at poodleface47@hotmail.com

WANTED:   Does anyone remember...... posted by: Dan on 6/26/2006 at 12:58:44 PM
Just trying to remember back to 1987, when an old school friend had just turned up to school on his brand new bmx.

The frame was chrome, definitely high quality, more than likely made in the states.

It had Green Mags, green seat, handle bar grips etc, but it had a coaster brake and a spinning head-set.

This bike was the bees knees and I have no idea what happened to the bike or even my old school mate, but I would love to buy-build one.

I would greatly appreciate any information on this bike if this jogs any memories out there!
