Help! I need a Sturmey archer axle for an ASC hub! mine got stripped when someone used stainless nuts on it. I think that an FM, AC, or FC axle is also the same.
Anyone have any ideas? almost have this bike together.
I have a hugh lot of axles (new/used) and a few Sturmey hubs, but I lack the knowledge to identify what it is you need specifically. Can you help me help you.
On ebay UK you will find a seller called hilarystone, he is or was an expert on all things sturmey archer and was approved by them to repair hubs etc.He is certainly very knowledgeable and will probably be able to help and or supply you with the parts or info you need.To make finding him easier here is an item number from one of his listings
Good luck Pete.
I have a 70's or so Red Kabuki Bridgestone SSD 10 speed Road Bicyle. This is a Japanese made bike originally purchased at a Cycle Center in the Bronx. It is in very good condition. Brand new tires are 27".Markings on the bike state Suntour, HiTensile, Technart Frame and Fork, Single K Tube , and I believe Shimano is printed on the gear. It is a beautiful bicyle that is too large for me, but someone who appreciates vintage, well-made bikes might love it. If anyone is interested, I'll try to send a photo. I believe delivery would be a problem, since I have no idea how to send it. It is located in the Sarasota area of Florida.
