MISC:   1960's Murray posted by: Harry Culpepper on 4/18/2007 at 4:33:19 PM
I have a matched his and hers pair of American made Murray bicycles that are in original condition and look like they just came out of the box. The original owners of the bikes bought at the factory in Fulton, MS sometime in the 60's. The factory closed down shortly after that. I was just wondering if anyone has any idea what these bikes are worth.

WANTED:   1972 Schwinn Breeze Part posted by: Kristen on 4/18/2007 at 3:33:51 PM
I recently purchased a 1972 Schwinn Breeze Blue. I have found out that I need to replace the rear wheel hub or else cannot ride it. Also I was looking for a new seat and tires. I would like new tires but am unsure of where to find them.

Is that a Sturmey-Archer three-speed hub? They are not hard to find, nor are coaster brake hubs. The rims, however, and tires to fit them, are more rare but available. Read Sheldon Brown's article about tire sizes. Depending on the level of authenticity you want, you could take the wheels from another three speed.

Hello. I am looking for a beater Ladies 26" Schwinn balloon tire cruiser for my wife. I have a 1959 Wasp and would like to find a bike for her that is of similar vintage or older would be great! We looked at some hollywoods and other middle weight bikes but she is certain she wants a heavy weight. I am in Oregon but could drive up to 200 miles maybe more or could pay to have a bike shipped if the price was low enough. Thanks, Chris

what does a 1959 Wasp look like? do you have any photos or can i find one online? what color is your bike? I have a 1937 Schwinn cruiser that was donated to my prototyping project, but it's too interesting to cut up into bits. I'm not certain yet if i'm ready to sell it, but i'm not exactly using it right now. I'm living in Vancouver BC but make biz trips to Seattle about every 7-10days.
