I'm moving after 30 years and cleaning out the garage. I've had these bikes since they were purchased new at a hardware store in Fargo, North Dakota, in probably 1970. Haven't been riden in at least 30 years. They have been hanging in the garage in dry Las Vegas, so they seem to be in pretty good shape. Email me if interested and I will send you pictures. Must be picked up in Las Vegas.
i'd be interested in seeing pics of those bikes. i had a hercules 26 inch 3 speed as a child and would like to purchase one again. what can you tell me about them?
What year is this bike ? 1952 ? Is it a Hornet ? Good shape. No pictures yet . Everything original . What is it worth ?
_please_ read the Oldroads FAQ.
A more appropriate answer is to check the serial number chart on this site for the age. It will tell you only the age not the model, color or accessories it had. We need a picture to determine model. How do you know "everything is original". Worth is determined by what someone is willing to pay at a given time.
I stand pat.
I am looking for an original Persons seat for a 1951 Schwinn Phantom. Also the original handgrips.
Where can i get some red + white touch up paint for a 60's blt red Schwinn Fleet bicycle that i am restoring?
Thanks in advance.
The red was called 'flamboyant red' - now if i could only find out where to buy it.
Hyperformance.com; they supply Flamboyant Red or any Schwinn color you desire.
I have a 1952 Whizzer, all original parts save the carborator air cleaner assembly. The odometer indicates the mileage showing is BEFORE manufactors suggested break in period!!! It is 3 horse power. I have true reproductions of the repair manuals for the bike. The bike also has the rare accessory motorbike carrier in the rear. I beleive it to have the Mesinger "B" leather model seat.
is this item still for sale... if so how much and where is it located?
I am interested in your Whizzer if it is still for sale. Any more info would be appreciated.
