There are American Beauty headbadges on the Jim Langley site - one says Schwinn Built - these were apparently marketed by Columbus Cycle Company. Anything on yours to associate it with Columbus? or Schwinn? Look at the bolt heads, the pedal caps, etc for S or AS logos. If it's Schwinn built that will give it some value.

I suspect there is a niche market for trikes. The Free Spirit name originated in the late sixties (go figure) and ordinarily connotes low-cost mass market bikes, but the trike might be an exception. Any chance we can see pictures? Send me pics if you can, please.

Hi, Thought you might like to know about a new online bicycle auction site. Like ebay, but for bicycles and at a fraction of the cost to sell.

I JUST RECEIVED A REPLICA OF A 1952 COLUMBIA 5 STAR SUPERB. FROM WHAT I'VE BEEN TOLD THIS WAS MADE IN 1986 WITH THE ORIGINAL CASTS OF COLUMBIA BIKES. THIS WAS DONATED TO ME FOR A CHARITY EVENT I'M HOLDING SOON. THIS BIKE IS STILL IN THE ORIGINAL BOX AND HAS NEVER BEEN ASSEMBLED OR EVEN OPENED. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAD AN IDEA ON A FAIR PRICE FOR THIS BIKE. I'D APPRECIATE ANY HELP.THANK YOU.

I would think about the costs involved in building a nice cruiser from scratch/restoration. Bicycle people know the work involved. I wouldn't go under $500.
