MISC:   schwinn sierra 15 speed posted by: rich cohen on 2/28/2008 at 5:08:53 AM
to who ever has the knowledge on this info pertaining to this bicycle. this bike is all original with exception of the pedals maybe. i'm not sure of the year, but ths is a no suspension early mountain bike i think because of the handle bar style and the double grip triangle aluminum goose neck. similar straight bar frame of those old ten speeds, unique center pull brakes which is what cofuses me being i did not think this style was out back in the 70 or 80/s. main frame and cable housings are red. the brake levers, center pull pivot levers, handle grips and also the seat are all dressed white. the seat says terra viscount in small black letters. oh, the wheels are 26 inch and fairly wide with medium off road tread design but not as progressive as todays nobbie. what do i have and does it have value. my phone no. is 602-264-4854 if anyone has an interest or questions.

thank you, rich

Those are probably U-brakes. The bike's late 80s - call it 1987 plus or minus. If you mean to sell it, don't look for much return; the cost of shipping almost certainly exceeds the value. But you should try to find it a good home. As transportation it should be pretty bulletproof.
