Just today my sister bought me a Fleetwing Jet-star at a rummage sale for $20.00. Twenty inch tires and three speed. Needs a banana seat. WHere can I find more info.
Thanks
Aaron C.

Besides a banana seat it needs a bew sissy bar, it slides inside the frame rather than bolting to the rear hub. When the previous owner put on a ten speed seat they cut off the sissy bar so it would slide all the way down in the frame.
Can anyone help?

I got a schwinn girls bike 20 inch im guessing it looks like it could be a 16 inch but anyways it say lil chic on tha chainguard..i was wanting to know the year of it i cant see the id# and also how could i get the chainguard chrome with the original saying on it and everything....also where can a find a guide that shows how bondo or weld my frame to be solid..

RE:AGE / VALUE:   Schwinn on chainguard says Lil chik or chick posted by Kevin C. on 8/24/2001 at 5:34:30 PM
First, find the serial number, either on the frame back where the rear wheel bolts on, or up by the Schwinn badge. Then match it to the date codes found here. From it you can tell when it was made.

Somebody reading here will probably have one. It is a 20 x 1 3/8 size, chrome and has peaks like a standard Raleigh Sports fender.

Hey Sting-Ray fans! Do you guys have any detailed pic's of a 1965 Super Delux in a two speed. I'm going to restore one soon and the photos in Hurds and Liz Fried's books don't show enough detail. Sure hope someone can assist. Thanks!

MISC:   36 spoked S-2 20" rims posted by: Robert on 8/17/2001 at 9:34:29 PM
Did they use 36 spoked S-2's up till 1965 on Sting-Ray bikes? And did the 2 speed kick back hubs have 24 or 36 holes?

   RE:MISC:   36 spoked S-2 20 posted by Johnny Sting-Ray on 8/18/2001 at 3:24:32 PM
36 hole S-2 (center stamped, double knurl) were used on '63 1/2 sting-rays and '64 sting-rays up until about June. Then they switched to 28 hole S-2. 2-speed blue band Overdrive hubs, available for '65 on sting-rays have 28 holes.
