I suggest that you take pictures of the bicycle that you have and send those pictures to on eof the Raleigh Chopper websites.

You have a Raleigh Chopper that was badged up under another name. The Kris was another name. This most likely was made in India or Africa or what I'm trying to say here is that it was not likely made in Nottingham, England or in the Raleigh Ireland factory either. You have a rare example at least from the standpoint of the badge. Now with photos at the Raleigh Chopper web site we could compare it against the other Raleigh Choppers. Dale Cramer's Raleigh Chopper U.S.A. web site or the site done by Mark Rich in England.
These two stand apart from the rest but the others are good also.
We all would be interested in seeing this bicycle and if you e- mail some of these fellows you'll learn about what you have found. Look at all the web sites under the heading Raleigh Chopper and also do an archive search here under the word 'Chopper'.
Take some pictures and drop them into the mail to one of these guy's sites. E- mail and get a post address or if you are able to, take pictures and scan them through the internet and e- mail them the pictures. Whatever, however you do it. Just do it. Raleigh Choppers are varied and many slightly diffrent ones were produced. It's not real easy, to understand it all even for the experienced like myself.
There were many models, colors, gears available, 3 speed hubs, 5 speed hubs, derailer models, girls frames, tall frame models, high back rest models Mk 1 and Mk 2
Most important, take a look at what these varoius model Raleigh Chopper's and even the ones badged up and called The Kris are fetching on e- bay! You'll be really surprised.
Also, before I go. Keep looking for more of these as this is a happening scene as far as Raleigh bicycles go. Good Luck!

RE:WANTED:   an eliminator or screamer posted by Shannon Reynolds on 12/5/2002 at 2:37:46 AM
Good luck kid. I've got an eliminator myself and finding parts for one is almost impossible. For the most part, it seems that if you don't have a krate or a stingray, no one wants to even bothers with you, (though there are exceptions to the rule out there!) Non-shwinn collectors are definatly in the cold & I believe will be there for along time to come.

What are the different categories for custom bikes? Is it like cars where you have "Street Rod", "Antique", etc?

AGE / VALUE:   Schwinn Stingray Country Time limited edition posted by: Alex on 12/3/2002 at 6:18:38 PM
I was wondering how much a Scwhinn Stingray Country Time Limited Edition is worth. It's in excellent shape like new.

RE:AGE / VALUE:   Schwinn Stingray Country Time limited edition posted by a friend on 12/7/2002 at 10:34:25 PM
Alex, I have heard of the Town & Country three wheeler, but never heard of this Sting Ray model You talk of. What year did this bike come out? What makes it a limited edition? Country Time, it has a lemon aid sound too it.

RE:RE:AGE / VALUE:   Schwinn Stingray Country Time limited edition posted by JimW. on 12/10/2002 at 2:53:02 PM
Yes, it was a premium offer from Country Time lemonade mix,
like the Rolling Rock beer premium bike. It isn't terribly old, and probably isn't worth as much as a classic Krate, but it is of value to collectors. Check eBay to get an idea, as these bikes show up fairly frequently. I doubt that it would be worth as much as the Rolling Rock one, but who knows?
