I'm trying to find a Huffy muscle bike. The one I'm looking for is either a 1966 or '67 model. It's a boy's bike with a padded sissy bar, "shifter" and the color goes from green to yellow. Can anyone tell me the name of this bike by the description I've given. I'm trying to find one for my boyfriend who had one as a kid.

I'm looking for a few chainguards. I need a coppertone 5 speed fastback guard, a campus green 5 speed fastback guard, and a violet stardust coaster guard. I'd consider the repro chrome 5 speed guards if someone has them.

Could be an Eaton , made in Nottingham by Raleigh for the Canadian Eatons shop group.
Does it have a round headbadge with eaton glider written on it?

Hi Max
are you the same max further down this board, with a fireball?
I have 2 eatons fastbacks over here in britain.
send me a picture, and I'll try and give you some info.
If you look on the back hub, for some stamped numbers, you can get an idea of the age of the bike.
thanks - keyzkev

RE:RE:MISC:   any info on a Fastback SS 357 posted by Max on 11/18/2003 at 3:59:36 PM
tks for the reply
is the fastback supposed to have all the same stuff on it as the choppers like the fenders and the chain guard?

RE:MISC:   any info on a Fastback SS 357 posted by keyzkev on 11/20/2003 at 1:05:50 PM
Hi Max
basically, the fastback 100 was a rebadged raleigh chopper, so components such as fenders, chainguard were the same, but with different decals on the chainguard.
There were various other differences, tyres etc.
why? are you breaking one up?????

RE:MISC:   any info on a Fastback SS 357 posted by Doug on 11/22/2003 at 6:05:39 PM
That is definitely a Canadian version of the Chopper. They also went by names such as "Fastback Mach II" and Fastback XT 100". I have catalogs from '69 to '71 showing pictures.
They may have been given different names in different pasts of Canada. We are a big country.

Too true Doug. I've seen Fastback 100 (no XT) and Fastback XT 101 as well.

WANTED:   1970's muscle bike posted by: Dave on 11/15/2003 at 4:45:21 AM
I had posted a message here a while ago and got one response which was not the bike I was looking for. I am looking for any info that anyone has on a muscle bike that I believe is from 1976, 1978 or 1979. The bike was black with a black banana seat with small white diamonds. It has a imitation plastic gas tank with orange and yellow flames. It also had a wide slick tire on the back. This is the bike I had as a child ans I can't find any info on what brand it may be. If anyone has any info on this type of bike please e-mail me.

Would appreciate any comments: What is value of Schwinn Hurricane? 5 speed, silver frame, blue fenders. Frame rails rusty where cable clips scraped through paint, seat ripped in back through schwinn name, wheels very wobbley: Bike looks orginal but I don't know enough about it to validate this. Basically, it looks in overall good condition. I think the seller wants about $200-250. Should I ride away or walk away. Thanks. john

Sounds like a bicentennial bike, only made from October 1975 thru 1976 check e-bay for prices the mid to late 70's Stingray's don't comand the prices that the early ones do. My guess is some were between $150 and $200, depending on condition. E-mail me I might be iterested in it, if its for sale. schweetcruisers@yahoo.com
