AGE / VALUE:   Any Help would be great on these great bikes!!! New to the hobby, found some results posted by: Jody on 9/7/2004 at 7:38:35 PM
Hello Experts! I am new to the hobby and have excitedly picked up a few true vintage bikes as well as have two existing bikes of my own. I am looking for any help I can get the search has been grueling but this is what I have on each of the bikes any additional help would be so great!!!!!

Child's Huffy (looks like a sundance or rail type model) single speed all original in good condition Purple with chrome fenders and a flowered banana seat. Has sticker BMA/6 certified whick I have read means it was made no earlier than 1972 but I am just not sure what the worth or the true model is.

Blue repainted very old vintage with a metal crest on the front with the words. Made in England, President, Genuine Raynal English Cycle. Chrome Fenders one speed. I have found NOTHING on this bike, brand or year.

Schwinn 1962-63 American, Red all original condition but missing front fender (chrome) with back rack. Rust but in Alright condition.

I also have a Metobecane Mirage ten speed in great condition all original I am guessing it is around the year 1975 but I am unsure.

Last of all my personal rider is a Sears and Roebuck Co. Free Spirit 10 Speed it is in GREAT original condition.

If anybody has any information on Model, Make, Restoring advice and especially WORTH it would be SOOO Appreciated.

Sincerely the truly vintage clueless!

Hmmm... the Raynal sounds interesting. You may want to post your inquiry about that one on the English Roadster discussion board here.

Years ago, I had a Motobecane Super Mirage. 'twas a nice bike. Quite light and fast.

Sounds like you've a bunch of keepers there sir! Have FUN with them!

Later!

Ever heard of this bike??? I am familiar with a lot of bikes, but not this one.

If you bought it, you must have thought you were paying a fair price, right? To you, it's only worth what you are willing to pay for it, correct? Then why do you buy it, then ask us?

Just another one trying to make a quick buck....

You'll know if it's a fastback if the frame has a single top tube. And how is joe trying to make a buck? He isn't selling it. He is asking a legitimate question. >: /

WANTED:   Ross Apollo posted by: Jamison C. Bazinet on 9/1/2004 at 2:31:04 AM
I recently picked up two Ross Apollo's- one is a racer the other a 3 spd. I am looking to restore them and was hoping you guys could point me to some Websites with info about the bikes. I'm looking for serial number info first...then, I'll be chasing the period correct parts to make them perfect again. The racer is pretty much all there but the 3-spd needs some love.

If anyone has parts/info I'm interetsed in talking to you.

Also, can someone explain how I can search the discussion areas so I don't spend four hundred hours searching through every stingray post looking for Ross info.

Thanks,
Jamison

WANTED:   mudcle bike posted by: Kevin on 8/31/2004 at 11:55:04 AM
Hello,

I'm looking for a bicycle my neighbor had when I was a kid. It had to be late sixties or early seventies. It had a steering wheel instead of handlebars and it had a wheely bar built into the frame for popping wheelies. I think it also had a shifter like on a car. Could anyone tell me who made this bicycle or where I may find one? Thanks,Kevin

Yeah they're pretty hot. The steering wheel itself is worth a huge wad of cash. Good luck finding one. Even a crappy one will cost you dearly. >: )
