MISC:   1973 Sting Ray posted by: Rich on 5/10/2006 at 3:24:40 PM
I have a 1973 Schwinn Sting Ray serial number DJxxxx. It has chrome front springer forks but I have not seen any Sting Rays with this feature only Krates. Was this an option for a 1973 Sting Ray or were these forks taken off of a Krate and put on this frame? Please let me know as I would like to have the correct information to sell this bike.
Thanks,
Rich

It could be a Sting-Ray Deluxe.
Have a look at the 'Sting-Ray Summary' under the 'General Resources' section of this site.
They break it down by year, color, springer, etc.

AGE / VALUE:   Girls Coast-to-coast bike posted by: Steven A Shade on 5/7/2006 at 5:25:00 PM
I just purchased a girl's 3-speed 20" bike (20" front and rear). It is a Coast-To-Coast and is white with lime green fenders and chain guard, on the chain guard it has OOOOOOOO Miss Mod decal. It has ape hangers and a white basket on the front. The bananna seat has flowers of bright colors. The bike is in great shape and only needs a shifter cable to be in excellant condition.
I think the bike may be made by Huffy because the chain guard is a duplicate of my son's Kool Kat.
Has anyone seen a bike similar to this and maybe give me a ballpark figure on what it is worth? I am trying to decide if it worth keeping original or use some of it's parts to buid a cool chopper for my son.

I am looking at making an offer on a Sears Gremlin muscle bike, in good to very good condition. Can somebody tell what would be an honest offer?

The last one I bought was 56.00 on ebay, but not in the best condition. If you could get the bike between 80.00 and 100.00 I say that was a pretty fair price,

MISC:   HELP IDENTIFY THIS BIKE PLEASE!! posted by: Chris Apriesnig on 5/3/2006 at 3:00:38 PM
This Tricycle looks to be all original. No numbers or markings anywhere on the bike. There are 2 factory deacals of the Roadrunner on the front fork and the words Beep! Beep! on the main tube of the frame. Deacals are licensed by Warner Bros. Has "bowtie" chrome handlebars. (Similar to the 60's style Drag cars) I will try to add a picture, email for any other ?'s or pics. Thanks

What you see is what you get. original fenders, shifter, neck, cranks, guard, and front rim. fenders have peppering. paint has rust and scrapes. rear rim is a schwinn s2 laced to a bendix red line coaster brake. rear tire should be replaced but works for a rider. the forks are bent at the top, (looks like vise marks from back in the day) asking $40 neg. or trade for or towards original paint muscle bikes or parts. email for mor pics at sickcycles@optonline.net
thanks
