AGE / VALUE:   1973 stingray fastback posted by: Adam on 8/7/2006 at 7:30:09 PM
Hello, I recently received a bike as a gift and was wondering about it because its just beautifull and i never had anything like this as a kid. Its in very lighty used condition, and says schwinn Stingray fastback on both the decals and tires. its very clean, painted a Lemon color, just a few tiny scratches and rust. the seat is a perfect banana style one, no rips. the shifter on the main bar says 5 speed, and the serial number on the front thingy says KJ520083. I asume from what i just read in the previous note that means its from 1973, which sounds right from the person who bought it for his 42 year old who never used it for some reason. Is this a collectable bike, worth anything? Even the tires still have those tit things on them. The guy said he stored it from the day he bought it on a hook in his garage. Thats where I noticed it and he just gave it to me.
Pic attatched. Thanks in advance, Adam M

Put a tall sissy bary and a long seat post on it and you'll have no problem.
