does anyone know how to remove a kickstand from an old schwinn Sting ray. it loogs like it is locked in with a pin, that i cant seem to budge. i am quite sure there is a trick to it , but i cant figure it out...

A pair of channel-lock pliers and vise-grips works well for me; for more info go to www.bunchobikes.com. Good luck!

I've had good luck squeezing the assembly at the ends with a good size pair of channel locks. This releases the tension and the pin can be extracted or may fall out.
Sometimes a nut or something placed at the outboard end will make compression easier.

I was wondering if anyone new what the original handlebars looked like on a huffy wheeler dealer. The ones on this bike kind of resemble 10-speed handlebars, they curl and curve like traditional 10-speed bars. Any info at all would really be appreciated,Thank you

September 1979, otherwise if it's a 20" it's a Stingray. What color is the frame, chainguard, grips, & seat?

hi rod, thanks for the info. the seat, and grips are aftermarket. the frame, and chainguard are a redish, or burnt orange color. i can only tell by fliping it up side down, because someone kind of painted the bike. at any rate thanks for your input. it is greatly appreciated. mark.

The name of the OG color is called Cardinal Red in case of color reference if you decide to restore your frame.
